Very nice hotel with great staff. Breakfast is great and it's very well located in the city centre and close to the University. Rooms are small but ok. You get a free bottle of water which is a nice touch. Lovely and quiet at night

I stayed at the Welcome Hotel Darmstadt in February 2023. I had an issue with booking a flight and the hotel reception staff were extremely helpful in getting my flight issue resolved. The staff really thought hard about different ways in which the issue could be resolved, and were patient, resourceful and knowledgeable.

Very nice place to stay when at Darmstadt. Hotel is in the heart of city n most places are in walking distance. Proximity from Frankfurt airport is also a bonus. It took me just 20 mins to reach. There's a huge park just behind the hotel n it provided a shortcut to reach my office. Breakfast buffet is grand n very well managed. I stayed for 2 weeks.

Stayed here for 5 nights for a business trip to darmstadt. The room looks tired and due for some modernisation but it is clean. Sound insulation was terrible and I could hear the next door occupant turn on the tap and shower.. they switched off the aircon during winter so the only way to get some cool air is to olw the window which means the noise will be an issue

This is a standard hotel - you get what you pay for. Rooms ok size, free bottle of water, nice and quiet. Great WiFi and good breakfast. Very well situated for the University. Check in wasn't great - the person didn't explain about the WiFi, or breakfast time, or anything else. Seemed in some kind of hurry. When I went down later I encountered such great staff members, I guess this guy was an aberration. I would avoid Moller BTW - much nicer places in the city centre. Staff were nice but food ... not my taste I guess (I don't like fried food)

Myself and my family have visited Darmstadt every year since 2010, and from experience, I can say that the Welcome Hotel is the best option in town. Very friendly and efficient reception, restaurant with beautiful panoramic view to a park alongside, everything works.

Strange hotel: not a single room key in our group was locked, all had to be reprogrammed. One of the rooms turned out to be already occupied, really embarrassing. We couldn't get out of the garage with the ticket. In any case: back to reception, explain the problem, wait for a solution, waste of time and nerves. No food available in the hotel restaurant in the evening, no explanation, just like that. Credit card terminal broken when paying, cards blocked after entering the code three times. And the worst thing: never a word of apology. Never again in this dump!
