Hotels near Mbagala SDA Church in Dar es salaam

I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

It is located next to a bar which is very noisy and loud. Couldn’t sleep. The gps couldn’t pick up the location so we took a while to get to the location.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful and always doing their best to make the guests comfortable. The rooms were very cozy and clean, with working TV, mini fridge and aircon. The toilets were very clean and sanitized and towels also smelled like they have been washed well. I liked that the hotel was in the middle of the city with close access to a variety of important places, restaurants and shopping. What i didn't like though was that there was a lot of noise around my room as cleaning staff were busy cleaning other rooms and making lots of noises and banging doors. Also i was in a non smoking room and i could smell smoke coming from other rooms. I asked for reception to change my room, which they did.

The location is very good, a five-minute drive from the ferry port of Zanzibar Island. There is a Chinese restaurant downstairs, which tastes good and the price is moderate.

I have been ordering cakes for various celebrations and it has always been an awesome experience with friends and families enjoying the cakes. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Chef Pankaj who recently made the doll cake for my little princess just the way I wanted and making it very special for her. The taste was absolutely awesome too. I have never gone wrong ordering cakes from Four Points and highly recommend. One of the best cake place in town. The hospitality and customer care at the reception is also very friendly and cooperative.

It was a very insightfull and rich experience with lot of nice smiles all around. The room is clean and fresh all the time and all accessoires are available all the time. Everything was positif during the stay. Big big thanks to all !

Everything else is good, the location is invincible, in front of you is the beautiful view of the port! The facilities are relatively new and easy to enter and exit. Especially the pork ribs on the 8th floor are the best ever! There is a problem with the bathroom service. I asked for a toothbrush 3 times before giving it, and I only gave one if I asked for two! The bath towels were gone after the first day of use! Disposable slippers are also used for the first time and will not be replaced with new ones! One time becomes permanent! Another disadvantage is that the wifi speed is too slow, and the blue clock displayed under the TV is too dazzling.

Good location, 15 minutes walk from the beach, even in CBD, the service staff are very warm and polite, the breakfast is very good, the 360-degree restaurant on the top floor is still a bit poor from other introductions, the overall hardware is similar to the domestic express hotel, After the first day I entered the door, I suspected that I was wrong. The small lobby, the front desk of a service staff, and the domestic holiday are not comparable. There are many hotels around, and I only know that the other is not as good as this (there is a five-star next to it, the price is doubled).

We enjoyed our stay at the Serena Hotel. The lobby alone is beautiful, and a great place to sit and people-watch. There are multiple places to grab a snack or meal, including full-service restaurants as well as a sports bar and a coffee bar. The employees, from the bellhops to the waitstaff, are all phenomenal. We learned on this trip that when it comes to hospitality, Tanzanians are the best. On the morning we were to check out, our flight did not depart Dar es Salaam until midnight. The staff went above and beyond, allowing us to remain in our rooms several hours after the regular checkout time, for which we were extremely grateful. We especially appreciate Rozina for making that happen! Overall, we had a great stay.

The cleanliness of the room is okay, but it is a bit remote, and the service attitude is quite good. The environment here is also quite good. There is wireless, you can take a shower, and there is free breakfast.
