Holiday Inn DALLAS MARKET CTR LOVE FIELD by IHG

Thank you for the opportunity to write a review and warn other travelers. This has been the worst experience on a trip to Dallas in my life. Our vehicle was stolen in the parking lot right in front of the hotel in the middle of the day. We just came back to rest and change before dinner and when we went back out the truck was gone. The security and hotel staff have been truly nice and helpful but the lady at the front desk has been as incompetent as you can possibly be. Originally, the first night when we arrived she insisted that we had one room instead of two, didn’t care to look up the booking number until we insisted several times. Just continue to say I only see one room, etc. Then the next day when our truck was stolen and we try to request the security tape and for her to notify the manager so they wouldn’t delete it, she kept on saying that she will let the manager know but couldn’t do anything. Last, we try to check again at 10pm and she said that she had been slam with work but that she will do it before 11pm and took notes eventhough there was no longer anybody there and the next morning they still had no idea this had even happened. Please, if you can avoid, this site because their reservations don’t seem to transfer correctly to the actual chain, this hotel because we still haven’t seen the tape at the end of our stay, or talked to any manager although all this happened at first on a Friday not even weekend, and this area because it’s horribly infested with crime and they know that vehicles regularly get stolen from their lit, then avoid the place at all costs. I just hope that thanks to that post this will not happen to somebody else in sometime. I will try to notify Trip, Holiday In, google and anybody that directed us to this place.

Had a quick work trip and was looking for a place that I could get easily back and forth to and from the airport. Grateful for the shuttle service provided by the hotel and for the driver Perry. He is truly a gentleman who cares about his passengers. Quite thoughtful. Given some of the reviews, I was little concerned arriving at the hotel BUT I could not have been more pleasantly surprised. It seems some of the reviews may be for some of their other locations which share the same name. This hotel was spotless. It is less than a year old. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable bedding, pillows, lots of outlets and USB ports throughout, and the bathroom stocked with Dove hand wash, lotion, shampoo, and soaps. The common areas are also great--the gym, the bathrooms, the coffee/tea area, etc. They are well designed and equipped with plenty of seating and charging capability. Also, I want to give a shout out to front desk clerk Cindy. She was working extremely long hours each day I was there and helpful at every turn when I had a question. Others mention the noise of the nearby interstate--that was not a problem for me as I travel so much that I bring with me a hand sized white noise machine. Makes a huge difference. Would stay here again.

Best thing about this location was the female at the front desk upon check in (Brynn Stevens). Extremely noisy. Right next to freeway, could hear every car that went by. Had to go down o the lobby twice for assistance with wi fi.  Never offered to come and assist just kept me walking down there each time. Requested new phone be placed on room for wake up call. Reception so bad couldn’t hear. (Scratchy). I would never recommend or stay there myself ever again.

Overall experience is good, the facilities look new and comfortable. On the other side, I experience that the hot water from the tap is milky white and did a comparison between the cold and hot. Took a video and show the front desk. I simply gotten a reply that this should be normal because " no other people complain about this.....". Anyway, I just avoid using the hot water cause it's just one night stay.

Room temperature was warm and had odor . Smell like mold mildew. Shuttle fumes was awful cold the ride to airport awful all the way there it smelled like gas and the heater was not working properly ,gas fumes the entire way . They need either fix van or get another . It stated that it leave every hour I was down there at 0530 We left at 0615. I had rush to catch my flight

Convenient to airport and dining from the onsite restaurant was surprisingly good. However, my first floor room had blazing lights from the parking lot all night, and walls were such that I had to listen to my neighbor’s phone conversation. The airport shuttle was not running on the published schedule.

Overall this property isn’t bad but I probably would not stay here again. The first room we were given had barely a window and looked directly at the roof and machines on top. It was very dark & claustrophobic. We were able to get our room changed the next day however the toilet was clogged. It made do but I just didn’t love it. May just be my own preference. Perks are free parking.
