I picked this hotel because of the amazing location and 270 view from the balcony suite. This is an absolute must stay hotel on the island. Boat ride to island is 10RMB. Call the hotel and they will pick you up on a 3-wheeler for a short ride to the hotel. Takes 10 minutes to walk to the hotel from the dock. The sunset is amazing when there is no cloud.

The most spectacular thing about this hotel was the view. We booked the top floor, corner room which was just breathtaking overlooking the lake while seeing and hearing the endless waves crashing below. The bed was big and soft with the bathtub perfect for two. The bathroom itself is spacious but I was let down by the cold floor and low quality amenities. The room’s projector was also not working but that is just me being stiff. The view was what you need to be looking at anyway as the horizon lit up at night. I would hope their breakfast spread improves in the future. We opted to get brunch in town. The service of the hotel was very good! Be prepared to be walking to the docks and back. Your first and last boat trip to the island is covered by the hotel so you need to pay for every other trip. It’s cheap though.

The B&B we stayed in this time gave us a big surprise. Because we went there in the off-season before National Day, we are very grateful to the boss for upgrading the room type for us. The room has large windows, allowing us to enjoy the scenery of Erhai Lake 180 degrees. The entire Erhai Lake can be said to be unobstructed. Open the window, you can fall asleep to the sound of the sea every day, and you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Erhai Lake while taking a bath. The B&B is built on Jinsuo Island. There may be some inconveniences in travel, but the boss will provide a service from the ferry to the B&B. The transportation on the island is electric cars and tricycles, so when I saw that it was a tricycle pick-up, I was quite surprised, but it was also very interesting, a novel experience. Most of the time, there is no need to wait for the pick-up service. Just tell the boss and he will arrange it. The service is very considerate. There are not many people on the island. I like this slow and leisurely lifestyle. In the evening, I walk around the island with my favorite people, blow the sea breeze, or sit in the lobby and chat. When we went out to visit scenic spots from the B&B, the owner also gave us some suggestions and travel strategies, as well as which transportation to take, and reminded us of some precautions. He was very enthusiastic! ! The breakfast at the B&B was rice noodles, milk, eggs, and sweet potatoes, which were super delicious. It was so comfortable to have breakfast while looking at the sea view. When I checked out, the owner also gave me a canvas bag with local characteristics. All in all, this was a really good accommodation experience! ! ! ! !

The room is a real waterfront room! I don't want to close the curtains when I go to bed at night. Outside the window is Erhai Lake. I can watch the stars across the sea and sleep listening to the sound of the waves. In the evening, I can walk along the beach and feel the sea breeze, which is the meaning of travel.

The room is big and the view is great, but there are too many bugs. The glass is full of bugs, and there are many spiders weaving webs on the glass windows. It's scary. I suggest the boss install some mosquito lamps around the hotel, and clean the spiders and spider webs regularly.

The store's attitude and service are satisfactory, including the corn eggs prepared for me when I left the island early the next day. But! But! The room is really bad. There is nothing except the sea view through the large window. Because of the humidity, the wall skin has all fallen off, the room is filled with a damp smell, the quilt is also damp, including the viewing area on the first floor, which also feels very old. I was originally going to stay in the hotel until noon to enjoy the blue sea and blue sky, but I couldn't sleep after tossing and turning on the damp bed, and finally chose to leave the hotel early in the morning. The price of this double bed room is more than 700 yuan. Although it is not as good as a high-end five-star hotel, for a homestay, this price is almost enough to live in a good one. The moment I opened the door, I felt like I was at the Regent Hotel and the Regent Grand Hotel. This is my last stop in Dali. I originally wanted to draw a perfect ending (because this is the most expensive of all the hotels and I have the most expectations when looking at the pictures), but it didn't go as I wished. This is not a feeling of running a good B&B. From the decoration to the design, it is more like a self-built house in the village converted into a B&B. The house is square, there is no door card, and it uses a password lock. Every corner inside does not feel as warm and comfortable as Caicun or other B&Bs in Dali. If there is a chance, I hope the boss can renovate the hotel and make use of the lawn at the door instead of locking it tightly and prohibiting entry.
