Atour Hotel Dali Ancient City

Hotel location is just outside the old town, around have many choices of food. Hotel services are so helpful. Room are spacious , warm and clean. Just the restroom was designed wt no door and lack of hangers to hang towels inside restroom.

A very thoughtful hotel. Mom and I had a great relaxing stay at this hotel. The employees are all very thoughtful. When we head out we would ask for a bottle of water but the sweet girls will always ask if we need more because they see it’s the two of us. The sea view rooms have views of Erhai at a distance but we still enjoyed watching the clouds dance through the sky with the lake and mountains. The rooms are big and clean too. Highly recommend this hotel for people wanting to stay near Dali’s ancient town.

The hotel staff helped us to book a taxi promptly to the Dali Station as neither of us was able to do so.

So far Atour hotels were the best in my China trip. The room was very large and fancy looking, and had everything I needed, from a very comfortable bed, to a minibar full of bottles of water, coke, cold tea and some snacks, as well as tea and coffee for hot brewing (all included and replenished daily). The location is fantastic in my opinion. just a couple minutes walking distance from the no. 4 bus stop (from the train station, though I do not suggest it since it has like 35 stops along the way), as well as 5 minutes walk from the ancient city. got a small supermarket across the alley with a nice old lady that treated me to a baked cookie of some sort. 3 minutes walk down from the parking lot there's places where you can rent e-scooters if you're into road trips in Dali (and you should be). Also quite close to the Cangshan main Cableway. Breakfast was not the most fancy I've seen, but still had everything, was fresh and tasty. eggs, bacon, salad, croissants, fresh salad(!) and a variety of Chinese foods. 4/5 for Facility because yet again, no working AC (probably by design). This time around it was actually not hot at all in my room so it was okay but I'd still like for some air circulation and there was none. If you're not into Inns and want a quality quiet stay close to everything, look no further.

Atour is always as expected with friendly staff and home like amenities. We got upgraded to a room that views remotely the 洱海。Though it was raining most days while we stay we felt happy cause the hotel atmosphere was enjoyable.

This was a lovely hotel right on the edge of the old city and easily walkable to it. The room was nice and so was breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. The design of the hotel around water gardens is absolutely stunning in the day and more so at night. It is a modern design with great thought given to the look and feel of the place. I will definitely look out for other hotels from this brand in the future. If you are going to Dali, then you probably know that the advantage of been so close to the old city to soak up the atmosphere

On arrival, I was told by the staff on reception that the hotel was not authorised to accept foreign guests. However, as I had already paid and to their immense credit they managed to register me on the system and upgraded me (this was all within 10 minutes)- after checking with the local police. The hotel itself is in a really good location, close to the ancient town, and about a 20 minute walk away from the 3 Pagodas. Cangshan Mountain is also very near (but the weather wasn't suitable for a visit). Erhai Lake cycling and walking path is about a 4-5km walk from the hotel too. Ended up being a pleasant stay, but again thank you to the reception staff for being very helpful when I arrived and dealing with things as efficiently and as promptly as they did.

Hotel was very clean and calm. And staffs were very kind.
