Kon-Tiki DaNang Hostel

Perfect location for Marina Dragon Bridge Night Market and friendliness staff. Free breakfast of 2 fried eggs; toast and coffee! Long term stay in deluxe (private room) highly recommended!

Location is great but if you can find another hostel in the area I suggest it. Tiny bathrooms often with wet floors from the shower next to it, staff told me refilling water bottle was free but then tried to get me to buy water bottles from them instead on two separate occasions. I had given them plenty of business by staying there and doing tours but they had a problem with filling up my water bottle (also won’t let you fill it, you need to ask someone to do it for you). They advertised day tours to My Son Sanctuary but when I asked to do it they said they don’t do it anymore because not enough people signed up (ok? Then don’t advertise that you do it). I ended up going with a different company and the price was 300.000d cheaper than Kon Tiki had quoted me (which made me think I overpaid on the other tours I did through them). If you want to do a half day / day tour DO NOT book with Kon Tiki! They also advertised happy hour but when I asked about this they seemed like they had never heard of the words before. I showed them the “happy hour” poster that’s plastered on the door of the dorm and they said they don’t offer that anymore because not enough people did it (again, why are you advertising it then? I suggested they remove the misleading sign but 3 days later when I checked out it was still there). The free breakfast leaves much to be desired (just eggs and two pieces of plain toast with coffee or tea), they were also repairing the AC in the room every day, and the “bar” is just a mini fridge in the lobby. Bottom line, location is 5 stars and it’s pretty clean but that’s about it for positives.

The Manager and Han (receptionist) were so helpful and so were the other staff..they helped me with things to do and eat ..took care of my all the transits..I will say they were like a family to me! Hostel was clean and near to the Dragon bridge and beach and the Night Market there. Definitely recommend and I will surely visit again!

As an older couple we stood out amongst the young backpackers but it was an excellent place to stay with large room, TV, A/C and ref. The staff were very friendly and helped us tremendously. Excellent location to see the dragon breathing water and fire, only 400m away. Only one complaint. Breakfast every day was 2 fried eggs and 2 slices of bread. This was very disappointing for a country that is famous for its BAHN MI.

So i found this place cute and good for couple of nights stay . The staff was more then helpful they really helped me a lot with many things . As they’re hardly 5 mins walk away from dragon bridge and 25 mins walk away from the beachside . I feel this place comes in the centre as they have good restaurants and market near by (famous night market) Special thanks to Tam for sorting out small things .

Really nice place. We stayed for two nights in the 8 people room for a really cheap price. The stuff is super kind and really helpful if you need some advice about how to move around the city. Also you can rent scooters there which made our trip way easier. Recommended!
