Socialtel Plaza de Armas Cusco - Formerly Selina Plaza de Armas Cusco

Our stay at Socialtel (now named Nodo) was pleasant and convenient as we prepared for our Inca trail expedition starting the morning after. The location was great - extremely close to the main Plaza de Armas and around the corner from Calle Marquez where our travel agency office was located. We managed to take a good 1hr nap before heading to our briefing and also picked up some water from the minimart around the corner. The room was comfortable with an attached bathroom that was clean. However, the room had ventilation windows at the top of the windows that unfortunately let in quite a bit of noise into the night from an event at the nearby Plaza San Francisco so we did not manage to get much sleep before our early pick up at 4.30am the next day. The service was excellent though - the receptionist offered to get us drinks while we waited for our room and arranged for our box breakfast for pick up the next morning. There was also a nice foyer to rest and relax while we waited for our room to be ready.

Great hotel - perfectly located within a few minutes away from the plaza de Alma’s and San Pedro market. My wife and I stayed two very happy nights here.

Clean, well maintained teepees and common spaces. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Great central location!

I stayed at this hotel twice; in between I went to Macchu Pichu and left the baggage at the hotel. Location wise - it’s very central with a PeruRail office next door albeit the other ones are not too far. Reception is 24hr and there is a nice courtyard with a restaurant as well as a common area with a kitchen at the back. I stayed in the Teepee tent on both occasions; first time the rate was more affordable at around gbp40/night. In July, the night gets cold. But the tent does have additional blankets and a heater. This worked except on the last night as it seems it stopped in middle of the night. Without the heater, the room was quite cold. The common bathroom is at the back; the showers are ok and you get enough privacy. I noticed the hot water does take a while to come through. I left the baggage in the storage - no issues. Overall good but for same price bracket I would try somewhere else.

Beautiful and very clean hotel in the centre of Costco, very close to main plaza.
