Curio Bay Salt House Motel

Beautiful property that is very well maintained and spacious. It has beach access.

We had a spacious room, room has fantastic sea view, room is 1 minute walk to the beach, can see dolphins in the evening. Motel near to the Penguin walk area and few hiking trails.Kitchen has stove, hot plate but no oven. Only knew the washer available on common area after check out. As our car break down, friendly host allowed us to use the common toilet and offer us drinks while waiting for technical.

well equipped kitchen, perfect view to the beach, very comfortable stay for the family.

Our room was spotless and had everything that we needed. The location was absolutely beautiful!!!!

Room clean with basic amenities. Only complaint was mild musty smell, outweighed by the area’s natural beauty and quiet. There’s not much in Curio Bay, other than a small visitor’s center and “restaurants”. But the peacefulness and bay/beach are outstanding.

Worth every cent. My children swam with the little dolphins this morning. We will come again. As a well travelled kiwi, this is one of my favourite areas of New Zealand. But this was our first time staying at Curio Bay Salt House, and if we come again, we will check availability here first!!
