Hotel Indigo Coventry
4.6/517 Reviews
Hotel was clean and nicely furnished, staff was friendly and attentive. Bed was very comfortable. Location is very convenient, next to the Coventry rail station and many bus connections, and also great for attending conferences at the University of Warwick when the on-campus venues are full. Being a new hotel, there were some expected growing pains. The thermostat often had issues regulating the room temperature (I would set it at 22~24C and the room would end up at 28~31C because the control system would not stop heating the room once it reached the right temperature, and I had to turn it down manually). The restaurant seemed a bit understaffed (it had to turn away guests when only half the tables were empty because it lacked the capacity to handle a full slate of guests).
Warwick Conferences - Radcliffe

On the campus of Warwick University, the environment is okay, the rooms are not very new, but clean and sanitary, and the waiters are more enthusiastic. Breakfast is a medium-sized English breakfast. Go early and have fruit. The room comes with two small packets of cookies and various teabags. There is a living room on the first floor, where you can enjoy coffee and snacks for free!
Holiday Inn Coventry M6, Jct.2

The hotel is near Coventry, and it can be reached not far from the highway. The room is not very big, and the breakfast is mediocre. However, parking is very convenient and friendly to those who drive.

One night stay in a superior premium room with queen bed. Great location just off motorway. Car parking free to hotel guests. Friendly and welcoming lady on reception. Room was clean and comfortable and slept really well with no noise disturbance at all. Had an evening meal and breakfast. Food was good and restaurant was clean and spacious. What really made our stay so remarkable was the fantastic staff. A very polite young man who goes by the name of “T” (he said his name was too long and difficult to remember) was working in both the bar and restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was always smiling and he never stopped working. The lovely man in charge of the restaurant for the night was called Fadika. He was so professional and attentive. Again, nothing was too much trouble for him and he genuinely wanted guests to have the best experience possible. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Excellent value for money and great service.

Well, how to say Coventry actually doesn't feel like a good hotel. The location of this hotel is ok, close to the train station. But in fact, I saw the scenic spot is quite close to it at the time. But the road at the entrance is quite dangerous and you have to go through the underground passage. If you are navigating, it may lead you to a place where people are not walking. The second is the sanitary conditions. I can only say that I don't have too much expectations. There are yellow things on the toilet cover, there are also on the shower, there is dust on the bedside, and there is only a small trash can. The air conditioner is a bit of a problem, only the hot air above is cold below. We asked the hotel for an extra quilt to sleep well. Mainly due to poor hygiene. The front desk is actually ok, the attitude is very good. But don't expect phone calls in the room, no one picks up, they may be chatting.
Warwick Conferences - Scarman

Located right in the middle of Warwick University campus this is part of a conference centre and this is the general feel of the establishment when you walk in. It is spacious and functional and the rooms are OK, think Travelodge meets Holiday Inn Express. I had an executive room, I think that means it's bigger than the standard rooms which I think is worth it as it didnt cost much more. The breakfast was very good however the coffee in urns was not pleasant. You just need to step out of the dining area where there is free coffee from machines which is much better. Staff throughout are the best feature. They do need to sort out the litter surrounding the building - there were plastic bottles scattered outside the entrance which were still there the next day. No reycling facilities anywhere either. But overall I would recommend.
