Guayarmina Princess - Adults Only

Service Quality: Guests consistently praise the friendly and attentive staff, who go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The service across all departments, including reception, dining, and housekeeping, is highlighted for its professionalism and efficiency.

This is my fourth visit to the Guayarmina in as many years. The past three years I have visited with my parents and we always have a good time. The service is always excellent from the staff there and it's great to see a lot of the same people still work there. I try to get everyone's names that I have met there, but have probably forgotten a few but please extend thanks to: Nicholas (Platinum Reception) who checked us in, and in no particular order - Guiseppe, Laura, John, Manuel, Jannes, David, Amaral, Ana, Oana, Julietta/Alicia (cleaning) and I have missed so many more out but absolutely everyone there works so hard no matter what area they are in. Please extend an extra special thanks to Justo who is an absolute diamond and a great laugh with his excellent service. Not only does he look after everyone with a joke and a smile, we also observed him helping waiting staff that were clearly still learning the ropes, and he did it with such patience and care. I really hope he is still there next year when I plan to come back again, I miss him already! Is he married? Haha! Once again, thank you ALL for making this another pleasant stay and for all your hard work. You have the best team and I hope to see you all again soon.

We had booked a platinum suite side sea view room for 5 nights to celebrate having just been married the day before in Tenerife. We arrived and were shown to our room following check in to find it was not as described in the photo or written description. We were expecting an open plan layout and a bathroom in room with a sea view. Instead we walked into a massive obstruction in our room, separate bathroom and a view of the public walk ways. We asked at reception if we had been given the correct room and the staff were abrupt and rolled eyes, insisting it was the same room as in picture. I showed photos of the room we received compared to the one we booked, there was a lack of care from reception with a shrug of the shoulders and ‘it’s the same situation’. I have attached photos for people to make their own judgement on that. We were refused at this point a switch and were told tomorrow morning we can look at another room which they said was the same and decide if we wanted to switch. Response to them was if it’s the same as this room again it wont be as advertised. We went back to room to find the bathroom door was broken and would not close, the air con was also not working. We returned again to reception to ask if they could do anything to which they did fix the air con, however was told there was nothing wrong with bathroom door. However clearly video of bathroom door not closing and rolling open independently. We spent 3 hours back and forth with reception in relation to these issues, we requested to speak to someone above as did not feel reception staff were talking the issue seriously, we were told there was no one available until the following day. At this point we requested a refund of our stay and booked another hotel. Thankfully they provided a full refund and we left the hotel to stay elsewhere. This however completely put a downer on our Honeymoon and with sarcastic comments when leaving of ‘enjoy your honeymoon’ did not help. Really disappointing as we have heard such incredible things about the hotel but the way something so simple was handled so rudely was not appreciated. I do not believe the hotel should be charging the same amount for the room 2007 as they do other platinum side sea view suites as it is a completely different room.
