This hotel is very good, the view is beautiful, especially there are singer performances in the open-air bar at night

The hotel has an invincible sea view, especially the restaurant is very beautiful, but the hotel is not suitable for parents and children, there is no kids club, the food is not bad! The lawn is also beautiful!

Best things about this hotel, and there are many ... views from the main bar & restaurant - simply lovely! Bar & restaurant staff - friendly, quick & professional. Cleanliness of bedrooms and all public areas is super. Location great - a short walk to a couple of bars & restaurants. Easy walk to La Caleta when turn right out of promenade entrance, turn left to Costa Adeje and Fanabe. Food is very good. We especially enjoyed the Spanish speciality restaurant ( we weren't going to bother as had been disappointed at a different RIU Palace) but everything about this was fab! The hotel delivered a fantastic New Years Eve from the additional decorations, to the super food, complimentary wines plus the traditional 'cava and grapes' for midnight! The public firework display made it even more memorable with the views from the terrace. If you were still hungry there was even a midnight supper. Our room was on floor 2 so we had a garden / slight sea view. Sun was on our balcony most of the day. On to what disappointed us.... we did report a couple of problems in our room. We only had 2 plugs in the room (1 by bed & 1 for kettle). The USB points were damaged and would not charge. There is 1 plug point in bathroom also. Reported to reception said aware of problem and nothing can do. Thru the week the wifi router in our room started making strange buzzing / clicking noises. Reported to reception seemed disinterested and nothing got fixed. We had a bad experience when we hired eBikes for 2 days. Checked with reception the day before and asked would we be able to store them in the ground floor luggage room overnight and charge them. We were told yes. eBikes duly delivered and a great day as we ventured out to Los Cristianos, Palm Mar and back. On return to hotel a receptionist came over and started speaking to us in a raised voice / very stern manner, 'what were we doing'? who had said we could'? 'luggage room would be full tomorrow'. Told to lock the eBikes up outside. The bike stand isn't bolted to the floor so you could easily steal a bike. Our 2nd day we had planned to ride to Playa Paraiso and Hard Rock hotel to have a look a round but with the hills, as we couldn't charge the bikes, we were doubtful our batteries would have got us there and back. Unfortunately the 'dour' reception staff is a memory that will stick with us. Finally, and not really the hotels fault the hotel did get busier the closer we got to New Year. Much reserving of sunbeds and empty for long periods - see typical photo.

Our second stay at this excellent venue located in peaceful Costa Adeje. The hotel is located on the frontline providing excellent access to the beach. There's plenty of space for R&R and attractive grounds screening it from the small promenade. 3 swimming pools, plenty of sunbeds, a good gym and reasonable spa with pool and steam all add. Rooms are nicely proportioned and well furnished. Food is is well above average at the buffet and the hotel's two other restaurants. Staff there are excellent; always polite and attentive and the whole building is well maintained and clean. Entertainment is limited to evenings with some great bands and we enjoyed a free a trip out to a fellow hotel for a 'Neon party". This is however not a hotel for families with kids wanting supervised activities but this really adds to the calm of the place. We look forward to returning again.

We added this hotel onto a package as part of a Cruise and stay holiday, and whilst the price was somewhat higher than some other options presented we soon realised it was worth every penny. We loved everything about it, especially as we were looking for a luxurious relaxing break after a week of hectic cruising. The room was very comfortable, and spacious, the pool area had extremely comfy sunbeds, and was spotlessly clean, the bar and entertainment was of a very high standard with reasonable drinks prices for a hotel of this rating we felt. The restaurant was without doubt one of the best buffets I have experienced in Tenerife, Continuous replenishment of quality ingredients. We loved it ! This was our first visit to a Riu hotel, and we are converted to these now in looking at our future trips. A wonderful memorable quality break. Thank you

Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is really spacious. The grounds are beautiful with lovely pools. There is an infinity pool, which is adult only which suited as it was peaceful. The rooms were spacious and decorated tastefully. I would definitely return despite there being two issues we found. At breakfast tea, coffee, water, and cava, were complimentary however, at dinner time you had to pay for water which was around three euros which I thought was pretty poor. We bought water from the supermarket and kept in our room as it was so much cheaper around $.90 litre. The second issue was the TV 80% of it was German 20% Spanish. There was one TV channel that was in English which was BBC world news. It definitely was not inclusive. We know hotels in the same area that had a lot more channels so it has nothing to do with reception. I understand you dont come on holiday to watch TV but it’s nice to have something in the background. Small gripes but worth noting.

- Great location of the hotel, near the beach and shopping centers. Short distance from TFS. - Staff are super friendly and service minded. - Both breakfast and dinner buffets are of high quality with a wide variety of dishes. - Rooms are spacious and clean. - Pools are heated. The gym is alright and the different massages are good, however not too expensive. - Rental car directly from the hotel. About 90 Euro pr day. The rooms could however be a bit better sound isolated / dampened. When guests are strolling their suitcases early in the morning to the elevator on the tiled floor, it makes a hell of a noise.

We had previously stayed at the RIU Arecas and as much as we had enjoyed ourselves we decided to try the RIU Palace this time round. Our first impressions ( and they do count ) was of a well oiled machine. From the welcoming drink whilst sorting out the check in details to opening up our side sea view room and taking in the panorama we knew we would be very happy in the hotel. Luggage was brought up within a couple of minutes and allowed us to unpack before dinner. The range of food in the buffet was immense and I particularly enjoyed the range of fish on offer from sea bass ,lemon sole, hake , salmon etc and the salad bar was replenished continuously so no worry about limp lettuce ! The two speciality restaurants were included in the cost of the holiday and you just needed to book sharpish on arrival to get your preferred time and date. The Krystal restaurant was excellent and I can still conjure up the crab bisque and the intense flavour of it now. As good as any fine dining experience. The Spanish restaurant was equally as good and had a fine selection of dishes to choose from. Wine prices were priced right and we never felt that they were over the top. I was also delighted that I could use the swimming pools which were heated much better than the Arecas and so I had my swim each day. I will definitely return to this hotel knowing that it has very high standards and great staff who take care of your needs where nothing is too much trouble.

This was our sixth visit to the RIU Palace and as always had a fabulous stay. What makes this hotel special is the location, the very high standard of cleanliness throughout, the excellent food choices at both breakfast and dinner and lastly and most importantly the brilliant staff who go out of their way to be friendly and helpful at all times. Can’t wait to return next year.
