La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Corpus Christi Northwest

Clean rooms, customer service was great,over all stay was excellent.

The La Quinta was very nice and we had a quiet stay on the back side of the hotel. They had good, hot coffee waiting in the morning and we had no complaints at all, a very good stay.

Room was damp with dirty torn carpet . The television didn’t work and when I called the front desk they put me on eternal hold . After waiting, I went to the desk . The desk person said she had been busy but she was sitting in a chair in the corner and the phone was laying on the counter . She then told me they were booked and didn’t have a room to move us too or another television to change ours with . About an hour later the fire alarm went off in our room and I returned to the desk . Different person due to shift change . She said it wasn’t our room . That the fire panel said it was one the third floor . The guest on the third floor said his wasn’t going off . This desk person was able to move us down the hall . This room was equally dirty and damp . The fire alarm continued to go off in the first room and could be heard in the room that we were now in . I also had family in three other rooms, that could hear the alarm and had issues in the rooms with cleanliness. We traveled 6 plus hours to a funeral and had no choice but to stay and make it work but it won’t be a place we will be returning too . Maintenance came in as we were leaving and silenced the alarm quickly too bad it couldn’t have been done 9 hours earlier when we were wanting to sleep .

I always travel with my service dog and was pleased to see this location had a "dog area". This area had grass well cut, however, there was trash everywhere and the doggie waste station was broken. The waste basket was on the ground and there were no waste bags in the receptacle. I always have bags with me but it's nice to know they're available should a guest forget theirs. The elevator floor linoleum was very old and dated with chips in it upon entering. The floor I was on was quite noisy all night. There was a smaller dog barking non-stop for hours. A baby crying/wailing for about 15 minutes( so loud I could hear the baby in my room), the room next to me had their TV on super loud until after 3:30 a.m. I know it was this time because my dog had to relieve himself at 3:10 a.m. The staff was the shining light here. The check in agent was friendly and very efficient. The housekeepers were all very friendly as they all said hello upon passing any of them and the check out agent was friendly. Maintenance crew were nice when I ran into them in the hallways. The staff is what kept me from giving this location all poor ratings. The location was alot further from the beach than I anticipated. Probably won't stay here again due to location and conditions described in review.

The hotel common areas and the room itself had a terrible smell. there was no hot water and the story about when the WH was going to be fixed kept changing. The plumber was on scene working on it however parts may have been needed. The front desk staff were honest and pleasant to deal with. I had the whole family and we did not have time for all of that stuff, so we went to a different hotel a few mile away.

Everything was great except we had no hot water at all during our stay and for a few hours in the morning of our departure the water was turned off because the hot water heater was being worked on. We weren’t told the hot water heater wasn’t working on the property until after we had been charged for our room and after we had already arrived to the property exhausted. A shower was much needed and a big part of what we needed a room for in the first place, that and a good nights sleep before getting back on the road on our 23 hour trip. If we would’ve been called and pre warned about the water situation, we would’ve cancelled and found another hotel so we could shower. We had worked all day, driven 7 hours and then arrived so ready to wash up and get in bed to rest before getting back on the road for another full day of driving so it was all pretty frustrating to be honest though I do understand these things happen, however I do believe we should’ve at least been notified of the issue when we booked, that way we could make our own decision before going there and wasting our money on what we thought would be a shower and a nights sleep. Also, our neighbors talked and such the entire night, which is great for them but ridiculous that we could hear every single word said through the walls like they were right there in the room with us. I hate complaining, seriously I do, but this was just a bad experience where we didn’t get what we paid for and was a total waste of our money.

Clean room friendly accommodating staff hot water and great water pressure close to restaurants and convenience stores close by

Room smelled of mildew, there was mildew in the air vents, rust streaks in the bathtub, the shower faucet was loose to where it would just fall over and turn full hot water while bathing (ouch!) the floor was sticky and the heater wouldn’t work. Need I say more….i want a refubd

Had a very good experience. The staff was great and the location was close to everything we wanted to do.
