Having returned from an overnight stay in the bayview hotel, the highlight is the beautiful view and lovely staff. The rooms are extremely comfortable , some bathrooms have been updated also. The hotel has just reopened for its spring/ summer season, the restaurant wasnt operating yet so we ate in the village, I would recommend this hotel to anyone heading in this direction.

Stayed in the Bayview for 2 nights early December 2023. We had a beautiful warm bedroom with stunning views of Ballycottom harbour and lighthouse and the setting for breakfast in the bay window was truly amazing. Every member of staff that we encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful, in particular the welcome of the two ladies at reception and the barman with his attention to detail. We look forward to our next stay in the Bayview.

Beautiful hotel with very nice rooms and a great view. Easy walk into town to restaurants and pubs. Great service. Receptionist Lorna was very kind and made me tea while I waited for a taxi, since the restaurant was closed at the time. The bar is open late night for drinks too!

Stayed recently. There was no record of my booking eventhou I booked through their website and I had a confirmation email with booking reference. Anyway receptionist was very nice and offered us a complimentary drink in the bar while a room was prepared. We got room 315. A large corner room with lovely view of the lighthouse. Room itself was very dusty and outdated. Large cobwebs in corners and over bed. The TV was glitching a lot, the nespresso maker hadn't been emptied of the water from a previous guest and tea/coffee wasn't replaced. There was one set of towels left for us. I asked for extra towels when going out for dinner and they were left for us on our return. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast the next morning was average. Coffee was lukewarm. I asked for toast but it never came. Food was only OK and the room itself lacked any atmosphere. Also worth noting there is no TV in the bar. It doesn't bother me but there was a big ireland v Scotland rugby match on but the bar was empty bar one table of 3 people who were watching the match on their laptop. I wouldn't return to this hotel and I also wouldn't recommend it. It is a 3 star at an absolute push in my opinion. Only thing it has to offer is a nice view and nice staff.

We stayed four nights in this hotel while attending our daughter’s wedding and I can’t give enough plaudits to the staff regarding the service and attention that we received. Special mentions straight away to Isaac, Lorna and Tadhg. The food in the restaurant is magnificent, whether for breakfast, lunch or especially the evening dinner. We were lucky that the weather was excellent for the time of year and our sea view room, looking across the expanse of the bay, provided us with a magnificent vista. Sitting on the terrace outside in the sunshine with a glass of wine in the afternoon is the epitome of decadence. The wedding ceremony itself was held in the restaurant, with all furniture perfectly rearranged for that purpose. Afterwards, thanks to the hotel staff, it was all very relaxed for photographs and drinks before a delicious Wedding Reception dinner back in the restaurant again. Music and dancing later was conducted on a fantastic mobile/custom construct dance floor! All in all, a perfect wedding location, for a smaller group of guests.

We just returned home from a weekend at the Bayview Hotel for an anniversary treat. It was truly amazing as always! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Food is stunning, a real fine dining treat, lots of choice and lots of local ingredients! The bedrooms are newly refurbished and have a stunning view. Thanks to Isaac and Ciaran, we will be back. Highly recommend this hidden gem!!

I dont normally write reviews but having dined at the Bayview Hotel Ballycotton I felt that some exquiste dining should be recognised. Isaac the Maitre D welcomed us and brought us to a beautiful window table overlooking the spectacular Ballycotton Bay and introduced us to Jenny our waitress for the evening. Both Jenny and Sophie the other waitress were putting everyone at ease and detailing the menu. What a menu! The diversity of dishes, locally sourced sustainable food but above all the talent of Chef Ciaran Scully was evident ...and we were not disappointed. I would rate the starters alone that they are of the level of a Michelin tasting menu! The main courses we tried of filet of beef and lamb were exquisite and really novel in the accompaniments sich as lamb with capers and all accompanied by fine wines recommended with a background to their selection to accompany the meals...I could go on! Well done Ciaron and team...one of the best resturaunts in Cork!...My only regret is I should have taken a photo of the menu so as to get the meals names correct!

Just a Saturday break, but liked this hotel. Downstairs is slightly old-fashioned (predominantly dark wood) but bedrooms have obviously been refurbished - and are bright and airy (most appear to have a fabulous view of Ballycotton Bay). Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good (definitely worth having). Ballycotton has great walks (cliff walk a must) and good pubs / eateries. We’ll definitely return !

Hotel seems very outdated, possibly hasn't recovered post-covid. No bath towels in our room,no wardrobe,no iron or ironing board. We had an event elsewhere on the Saturday night and returned on a bus of 50 people to a locked hotel! When we were admitted by the solo night staff member it was straight to bed-no residents bar option even offered. Breakfast in the morning seemed to have been cooked the previous morning. A long long way from 4 stars, and that's before we had 4 false fire alarms.
