It's an older hotel so I expected some quirks. When I got in the temp in my mini fridge in my room was turned high and was warm inside, so I turned it to cold again and out my food inside. In the morning it was still warm in there and my food had spoiled. I left for work before the front desk was manned so left a note. They replaced the fridge before I got back for my second night (no apology for the food loss or offer of rebate). They also didn't empty the garbage, change the towels or even pick up the coffee cup from the table. Maybe that's standard for this hotel, and not freshening up the room between nights isn't a huge deal for me to be honest, but it might be for you.
The room door does lock automatically when closed but it doesn't close automatically. A few times I pushed it closed behind me but it didn't actually close. The mechanism that closes the door isn't there. The room next to me was open all night for the same reason.
The walls are also thin so you hear quite a bit, but by 11or 12 everything seemed to be quiet.
There is no coffee in the rooms, it is a shared coffee urn in the lobby. I turned it on the first morning, someone else did the second morning.
The bed was comfortable, the pillows were good, the blankets felt like sleeping bag fabric but were still comfortable.
All in all, it's a low cost hotel south of town. Clean and friendly, but does have its quirks. I'd stay again, but if you do its best not to go in with high expectations. 2 star for sure
