Cambria Hotel Columbus - Polaris

We used reward points for this stay and it was a great value. The hotel was easily accessible off the interstate and was close to a mall; and a Costco was located across the street. We asked for a two queen bed suite and the room was outstanding. We had lots of room, a couch, and two flat screen televisions. There were plenty of plugs for our electronic devices and a Keurig coffee maker in the room. I would give this hotel a 6 plus if allowed.

This is an older stay that could use a handyman (i.e. drawers wouldn't close). With that said, it was CLEAN. The room, pool, and public areas were clean. The pool was very nice including the hot tub. Only negative was there wasn't any towels. The pool and room instructions said to use the pool towels. The kitchenette was great. Full sized refrigerator with ice maker. Coffee maker, microwave, stove and dishwasher also included. This hotel is located near many great restaurants plus the fashion mall with book store. IKEA and a Target were close. Easy drive to lots to do. I hope to come back.

Stayed Last Thursday- Saturday and we had a great experience. Angela at the front desk was super helpful and kind. Actually, al the staff was really wonderful. Pros: -Clean rooms -Would recommend for families -Great breakfast options ( cheese, omelettes, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, bagels, English muffins, yogurt, cereal) - Pool area is excellent. However, I don't think it is the most appropriate for 1.5 year old (which is how old my daughter is). There is a step down to get into the water and the shallow end is still about 1-1.5 ft deep so not much of an area where a toddler could just sit in shallow water ( 0-6 inches) and just splash around. Would work the best for just a tad older kids. All the kids I saw in the pool area was having a blast and they looked to be anywhere from 5- early teens. - They have quiet hours from 10p-7am - Microwave and mini fridge in the room Cons: - The water was cold :( when you walk in to the pool area it feels like the water will be warm but it was super chilly. I think each time we only spent about 1/2 hour in the pool area and my daughter didn't want to be in the pool because how chilly it was. Her had a purple/blue tint to them because of her chill. Location: I think it is a great location to Polaris. However it is not on the same side as the mall. There are limited options for walking to a nearby restaurant. I imagine you could have more options if you don't mind walking and weather permitting. The closest option is Bonefish Grill and it is about the length of a football field away. There are other options down the road that I am sure you could walk to. It is super close to Ikea and TopGolf.

This one made me have the urge to say a few words, the purpose is to let everyone avoid pitfalls. I feel that the hotel spends all the money on the lobby, I don’t even want to take pictures of the bathroom, it’s too small, please forgive us ordinary people who don’t understand the concept and purpose of the design. We were given a room connected to the next door. We opened the door here and made sure the room next door was closed. It would be embarrassing if it happened! The price of 18XX, but even a 500ml bottle of water has to be charged an additional $2. I don’t deserve it. Fortunately, I brought my own water and put it together for a photo to commemorate stepping on thunder! But what is consoling is that the steakhouse Eddie Merlot's opposite is worth trying. The taste of steak and other meals is really amazing!

Usually when I write a review, I can find plenty of criticism. However, this experience leaves me with no complaints. The bathroom is spacious. The seating area has an extra TV so the youngest could watch his TV while we watched ours. The TVs are smart TVs so he streamed Youtube. The beds and pillows were comfortable . The breakfast was fabulous with multiple options including an oatmeal bar, cheese and egg omelets, DIY waffles, scones, muffins, sausage, or biscuits and gravy. We were there two days and noticed that they change things up on the menu daily. The breakfast area was super spacious and was a comfortable environment. Everything was up-to-date and well-decorated. I felt completely safe with the safety measures this hotel took and it was in an area that seemed quite safe as well. The pool was a bit small and is only four feet, but my children had fun swimming anyway. I definitely plan on staying here again next time we are in town.
