Colchester Town Centre

This hotel is in a fantastic location, a short walk to a lovely park, swimming, bowling and the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and the room and breakfast were great value. Would definitely like to return!

Really good value for money, especially with the meal deal which had plenty of choice on the menu. Great location, near the castle and its grounds. The rooms were clean, and the beds very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful, I would recommend as a place to stay.

Best hotel I have stayed at by a mile off all the managers are superb and Jess is out standing, on one of the days there was a dispute between a waitress trying to bully the manager (jess). She didn’t rise to it and stayed level headed, the language from the waitress was obscured the restaurant was full and it wasn’t like it was 2 people was hearing it, Jess still carried on and done an outstanding job getting everyone there meals and food running about making sure nothing was missed, other then the dispute it’s a great place and will defiantly be staying here again.

Excellent hotel Perfect location , excellent service normally…..We as a business stay here a lot , and have always had an excellent time , but we witnessed and heard the waitress bullying the manageress. She swore in front of us all Now we wouldn’t normally complain but it was bad , Jessie the manageress is always professional and kept her head on . I would have lost mine The waitress Maria is quite sparky normally so it was upsetting to see her act like that . She stormed off and left … the restaurant was busy and so Was the hotel . So Jessie was running back and forth . The chefs helped out they were great , was good to meet the people who’ve cooked our meals. BUT it wasn’t nice to see We love this hotel and will continue to stay here , but am disappointed to see that and feel sorry for lady

My husband and I booked this premier inn for one night whilst visiting Colchester. When we got in the room I was so pleased with how fresh and clean every inch of the room was. The bathroom was sparkling and updated. The bed was so comfortable I have ordered some Premier inn pillows for home. Overall great stay and great location to Colchester centre.

Staff at breakfast were amazing. Very attentive and so friendly. The breakfast options were really good too. Nice rooms and clean! Only downside was we arrived at 7:15pm, went to get some dinner at 7:45pm and the restaurant was closed. Which when having travelled for 8+ hours was disappointing. Plenty of uber eats options nearby though so we just ate in our room.

The room was small but lovely, had a lovely view of the boating lake. Staff were polite and friendly. Bed was comfortable. The layout of the room was different to any I had stayed in before but it was really nice and charming. The only downside was there was not a bath, but the walk in shower was really good.

Really enjoyed my stay here, the staff were amazing, breakfast and evening meal were both very good, rooms are good if you’re not spending a huge amount of time there. The only small downside is there is limited car parking but you can use a nearby ncp that is secure.
