The lady that checked me in was ridiculously rude. This place has went so downhill it is sad. Once was a gem in the heart of the Cariboo has now been driven into the ground by foreigners.

The Cariboo Lodge was an oasis through trying times during the fires of August. Short staffed they still made one feel cared for. I enjoyed a burger to die for, served by a gracious host. For a budget stay this one ranks right up there.

No response to the fact I will be late even with plenty of notice and no idea hire to check in late, so will need to forfeit this hotel :-( Really annoyed !

Cariboo Lodge is in a lovely location and convenient when traveling through. Although many of the rooms were booked the management didn't adequately staff for the number of people dining at the restaurant or checking in. One person checking people into rooms at the same time they are taking orders and delivering food is inadequate and disrespectful to the staff on duty as well as to the patrons.
