My husband and I came for our 10 year anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate and make sure our stay was perfect. MARY was AMAZING!!! She worked with us and our requests and even proactively reached out to help make sure we were taken care through the last day. She was exceptional! The location is perfect and central to everything.

This hotel is hard to describe, because it was booked for a temporary night, and I went directly to the front desk and said there was no room, but I booked it on Ctrip, and the room WiFi was charged. The front desk searched for a long time, the service was very bad, and I had already paid in full on Ctrip. I also received a pre-authorization of 750 dollars in 3 days, and I booked another one at the same time. The front desk kept saying that the room was full, and then I contacted Ctrip at 12:00 at night. Looking for a hotel upstairs, I changed a front desk staff with a very good attitude and helped us open the room. The hotel canceled the buffet breakfast due to the epidemic, and now they order food online by themselves, and each order will charge a delivery fee of 6 dollars. The breakfast portion is quite large, which is not bad. Because we went out late, we didn’t clean up on the first day. We said it was cleaned on 7-8 every day. When we left, we called the front desk and they would come to clean. The next day we called the front desk, and the front desk complained why we went out so late .

I recently had an opportunity to stay at Madera Hotel DC and I think it was the best choice we made. The room was beautiful and spacious with an amazing view from 6th floor. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice too. Special mention of the Brunch. The food served was extremely fresh and good quantity at reasonable price. Loved the service offered by Andy (Valet), Andy, Tina, Emnett and MJ. Extremely charming staff always ready to help. The hotel is centrally located and easy to walk to Georgetown and the train station. Would definitely love to stay with the hotel again.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff as well as the overall cleanliness of the hotel. It is a little bit older than some of the properties in DC, but everything worked well and was very up-to-date. The Internet wifi reception was excellent. The food menus were very good and the preparation was excellent. I really have no complaints and I would definitely recommend staying there and I will the next time I’m in town.

Booking the stay at AKA White House was a GREAT decision. it is 2 blocks away from the White House. My first day I easily walked to all the monuments and took a scooter down to the Capital. Check in was a breeze and Miles was so friendly and helpful as it was my first time in DC. HOLY COW was the suite amazing, CLEAN, and perfectly decorated and full of amenities. Janae at the front desk greeted me with a smile each time I came back in and the entryway smelled fantastic. It was a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the sidewalks outside. Did I mention the whole place was CLEAN? Highly recommend the AKA White House, whether it is a short or long stay.

Location is great. But the service is very average, the room keeper even threw my pajama onto the floor when she cleaned the bed. Although the room is spacious, the amenities are so bad. The AC heating is very noisy in my room. The worst thing is the air quality. I got sneezing all the time for three consecutive days during the stay; at first I suspect I got a flu or even covid, but when I got back home every symptoms were gone. It was just in the hotel room that my nose was running badly.

GGuest UserThis hotel was spot on for our needs. We needed to be in Georgetown near the university and this was a 15 min walk away. Hotel was easy to find and in a safe, clean and very nice area. Hotel its self was great. Staff very welcoming, all amenities we needed, lounge area, bar, restaurant and a gym. Rooms and bathroom were spacious and very clean. With toiletries provided. Absolutely no complaints at all. If you need to be in the vicinity of Georgetown university this would make a good mid range choice.

GGuest UserThe decoration looks like an old-fashioned hotel, so the facilities are a little bit worse. But the room is big enough, the health is good, there is a coffee machine, and the customer service staff are also very polite. It takes about ten minutes to get to the station.

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is good, but in fact it is inconvenient to eat around. The air conditioner may be an old-fashioned American all-in-one machine, and the sound is extremely loud. The key is that it still makes a loud noise when it is turned off without airflow! How strange! Will the old beauty tolerate such rooms and hotels? ! It seems that those standards of Laomei are also perfect!

GGuest UserHotel stay was nice, easy check in, valet was not orginized safely and had us stopping in the middle of the road to get out and offload luggage. There was not a designated, safe area for valet to handle the vehicles. Elevator smelled like sweaty workers and had poor air circulation, the hall way smelt like ****(not always a bad thing, just not at that time and place), and the most disappointing thing was the horrible service upstairs at the ”resturaunt and bar.” Service was non-existent and they were not busy in the slightest, the music was all ”hard” rap music cursing that was not appropriate at that time considering there were still families present. My wife and I sat there for 30 minutes before I had to ask the bartender to make us a drink and I had to pay the bill at the hostess stand since our waiter never came at any point.

GGuest Userfirst off, i booked a king room but was given 2 queen beds instead, they said you don’t always get that when you book through a 3rd party because they do not know what rooms are actually available, second, i requested that my room be cleaned everyday that i stayed, but was not, i had to go downstairs to ask for new towels 2 nights in a row, on the 3rd night i finally asked the front desk and they showed me a small sign that said they do not clean until your 4th day of stay, they can do a quick refresh if you ask before 9pm the night before, lastly, i was charged $41.73 on top of what i paid to Trip.com, i called to ask about it a few days after my trip when i saw it on my credit card, they said it was an amenities charge for each of the days i stayed, whaat? the only amenity i used was the elevator, never have i ever been charged for anything other than the price of the hotel, needless to say i will not be staying here again and will not recommend it to anyone

GGuest UserI traveled to DC with my preteen and teenage sons for a basketball game. The property didn’t receive my reservation (booked through 3rd party) but the front desk staff took the time to make it right and get us set up. They had excellent customer service throughout our stay. This hotel was VERY clean. I was actually surprised because I use to stay here frequently about 10 years ago and expected some things to run down a bit. It turns out that the hotel is very modernized and looks just as good now as it did a decade ago. The location is perfect as it’s right in the middle of the NoMa neighborhood and it is right next to the NoMa/Gaulludet (Red Line) Metro station. There are a few small shops across the street and a 7 Eleven next door if you are looking for a quick bite. The room itself was comfortable. My youngest son and I slept soundly on the queen sized bed and my oldest slept on the couch. He was pretty comfortable without even folding the couch down. Overall, I will definitely book here again as I frequently visit DC. Fo how inexpensive this hotel is, the quality was phenomenal. I can’t wait to go back.

GGuest Userwe arrived around 10am and were fortunate enough to be allowed early check-in. desk guy was nice, and was able to speak english. we needed the rest after a grueling red-eye. i was unaware of how far out the place was from most of what we were there to see. this resulted in spending enough money on Lyft to afford a ”swankier” place further into the city. my bad. after a brief rest, we met some family and walked around alot. the new target down the block closes at 9, so when we got back to the room around 930pm, we were unable to get supplies for the room, & had to stop at a gas station to get a few things. this is NOT a neighborhood to go walking at night. we were approached a few times, but never threatened, still didnt feel comfortable on the street. the room itself was reasonably clean, & there were no bugs that i could see. beds were firm, and there were mostly feather pillows. 3 per bed. there were multiple ”dings” in the place...beginning with the corners, the walls, and at least 2 pretty serious marks on the tub that had broken the enamel off. a fair bit of the caulking was pulled loose from both the tub and the wall. i was dissapointed to see the back of the dressing vanity was raw plywood. didnt expect that. there was a decent armoire for hanging clothes, with storage cubbies on the side. to the left of that was a reasobly large dresser with enough drawer space to handle what we had brought. immediately above the dresser was a huge flatscreen tv that, while impressive, was far to big for the space. after a bit, we figured out the remote. left of the dresser/tv was a desk & chair. under the right side of which was a 3-legged refrigerator with platic top that kept coming off. above that there was a microwave that proved useful, on top of which was a single cup coffee maker that worked nicely for tea. the furniture overall, seemed repurposed from another motel. most of it didnt match, and looked pretty used. the floor was reasonably clean

The White House

泰迪小熊Came here on September 22, 2017. I heard that the White House has not been open to the public since 9/11. When we went there, we could only watch it from a distance outside the fence, so the White House became a boring landmark. We took a tourist check-in photo to end our visit. There is a big pine tree on the south side of the White House. I didn’t expect it to be a "landmark" as well, the "National Christmas Tree"... Well, it seems that we should choose to visit during Christmas.

United States Capitol

__We***42⌚️ Time: 8:30-16:30, Monday-Saturday Capitol Hall appointment visit is free, but the number of daily visits is limited, it is best to make an appointment in advance, we are 9:30 in the morning, they will give you a white stick on the clothes (see picture 1, the mother's chest is white, Green is the Library of Congress). There is only one time period that is Mandarin interpretation. I thought it was Chinese. The result was a foreign sister. I was quite surprised. I thought she could speak Chinese. The result was that she said English to us and translated it into Mandarin with translation software! Can't they find an American Chinese to serve? But what should be the matter, the young lady has a very good attitude, and she took the initiative to take a photo with us! The Capitol is a must-check stop for Washington. The whole building is also very magnificent and distinctive. The pearl-white marble building is a three-story dome towering in the center of the three-story flat-top building. The sculpture at the top of the Capitol is the free woman sleeve god, the Capitol Library. It is also suitable for punching in together, and most museums in Washington are free to the public.

National Gallery of Art

陌染MMThe National Art Gallery is located in Washington, DC and is managed by the Smiths Association. The building itself is divided into two buildings, with underground passages that can be connected or across the road from the ground, and a sculpture park is also included. Museum visits are free and are closed on Sundays. Originally, it was a pity to find that the Leonardo's real artifact was not open. There are more than 40,000 products in the entire pavilion, from the Middle Ages to the modern era, oil paintings, sculptures, prints, sketches and so on. It takes about an hour to visit here, there is a coffee shop inside, you can take a map to see the specific location.

Union Station

Ppalettes_nyWashington's Central Station is not only a major train station in DC, but also a popular tourist attraction, the station was built in 1908, the classic French building, and it is also the headquarters of Amtrak, the second busiest railway station. The exterior of the whole building looks full of retro atmosphere. The Columbus Round Square is in front of the station. The interior of the station is also very distinctive. Even if you don’t come here by car, it is worth coming in and visiting. The station has a variety of murals, super distinctive.

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum

水漫三楼The National Air and Space Museum is large in scale, covering all aspects of aerospace history since the invention of the airplane by the Wright brothers, including gliders, aircraft, airplanes, transport planes, passenger planes, rockets, planetary probes, spacecraft, and artificial satellites. It also displays high-speed racing cars and motorcycles, capturing the vastness of the sky and space and the passion of speed. The gift shop also has a variety of shelves that attract many people's attention.

National Mall

泰迪小熊Came here on September 21, 2017. Between Capitol Hill and the Washington Monument, there is a long and narrow green space, which is the National Mall of the United States. There are many national museums and memorials around the square. Each venue is very interesting and you can spend half a day visiting a single place. If you don't have enough time, it's also good to take pictures. These buildings have different shapes, and taking pictures and checking in are very photogenic.

Georgetown

Ppalettes_nyLocated in an old town in Washington, Georgetown is the main campus of Georgetown University. It passes through the old town and climbs up the mountain to Georgetown University. The old town is mainly a shopping district. There are various boutiques and restaurants on the street. The street buildings are also very distinctive. Full of historical charm.

Chinatown

MM30***41Check out one of the Chinese restaurants there, or dine at the hawker centre with lots of stalls offering yummy food.

Lincoln Memorial

__We***42[Value for money] It is open 24 hours a day and is free. Although we went there at 6 o'clock, it gets dark early in winter. But the momentum is still there. But why do I feel that the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei is so similar to the Lincoln Memorial! [Scenery] It is magnificent! Facing the Washington Monument! At this moment, I suddenly remembered Chairman Mao's poem "The country is so beautiful, attracting countless heroes to compete for it!

Washington Monument

泰迪小熊Came on September 21, 2017. The Washington Monument is located in the center of the American capital, about 169 meters high, using the shape of ancient Egyptian obelisk, tall and eye-catching, beautiful and generous, is a very outstanding landmark. The monument is surrounded by a large lawn, which can usually sit casually. During the epidemic, tens of thousands of Americans died of illness, and everyone inserted a small white flag for each of the past to show mourning, that is, in this lawn. It can be seen how big this lawn is. Because the monument is very tall, you need to go to a place far away from the monument to take a photo. On the edge of the high platform where the monument is located, you can sit and shoot. It will be better to take a photo at dusk. Sitting on the west side of the monument, facing the sunset, the sun is softer and the color will be better.
