Flew in from out of town for a meeting and I was completely impressed with this hotel! The entire front desk went above and beyond making me feel welcome by making sure I had what I needed, putting me on a high floor and getting me a sweet snack after my long travels when I arrived late the first night! My room was immaculate and smelled so nice and clean. It was quite and I fell right to sleep, woke up refreshed for my meeting. I swear I need that bed at my house!! Slept soooo good!!! Breakfast guy was super nice! Everyone in the halls said hello! Even in the elevator I had a conversation with one on the staff members. I’ve just never stayed at a hotel where I felt like I was famous or something. It was like everyone knew me. Just incredible!! I will ALWAYS stay here!
We stayed here for a few days for a ski trip. Being a relatively new hotel (I think it opened a few months ago), it was nice and clean. We had a problem with our heater/AC unit not working with the first room so we got moved to another room. The room was not the largest, but not the smallest. The fridge was a bit dirty from the previous occupant? The walls were thin as we could hear our neighbors well into midnight, but being sound sleepers, it didn't bother us much. Front desk check in lady was pleasant. Seemed to be a relatively safe area, not much around and there was a small number of houses right outside the parking lot (I'm sure they were ecstatic about their new neighbors). We had a rental car, so don't know about proximity to the ski bus, but the stop must be relatively close as the front desk alluded to it. Breakfast was usual continental fare, eggs, bacon or sausage, and bread products. We would stay here again.
Nice hotel, good environment, convenient on the high speed, opposite the large supermarket, the nearby steakhouse is very good. The parking lot has plenty of parking space. The room facilities are complete, the bath water is great, the only problem is that the refrigerator and window machine are noisy. Early check in is not supported at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is quite convenient, and the hot meals will turn over some patterns every day.
This hotel is the best the staff is so accommodating tif and gale that run the office are amazing so nice and polite and will joke around with guests Paul the matiance man is so quick to fix any issue they are pet friendly and love all the dogs give them there own moments of attention none of them have ever been rude even when I felt like I was a bother they were all super sweet I will stay here again for sure
Stay away from this hotel. This is perfect for homeless people. Almost everything is broken. The table is broken. The chair is broken and you may need to go to hospital if unlucky. The bathroom tap cap is broken. However, water comes normally though. The shower curtain holders were displaced. However, didn’t fall down though. The room was non-smoking, but the blankets and bedsheets are full of holes from cigarette. The room is very dirty. The closet is dirtiest having only 2 hangers from ancient times. The room lock does not work always. The room entrance rubber pad hinders the door to open and close. The bathroom is too small and not having enough towels. The side bed seems taken from dumpster and put out there. No light breakfast is there even advertised.
I'll edit this review if/when they BRING BACK DECAF COFFEE TO THE LOBBY. They completely removed it last week. Unfortunately, that will shade the rest of this review. This is an extended stay hotel that's easy to live in for long periods (and clearly many people do). We were here from just before Thanksgiving to just before Christmas (about 5 weeks), then returned for another week. We're scheduled to return in Feb/Mar... we'll see. Location: If you are skiing at Brighton or Solitude, there is a UTA ski bus stop directly out the front door; could not be easier. If you are headed to Alta/Snowbird, I suggest driving to the Historic Sandy TRAX station park and ride to catch that UTA ski bus, because it has a big parking lot and you know you'll get a seat. Otherwise, you are driving yourself (check for prices and required reservations to park at all the ski places; it is VERY dynamic and has already changed for a couple of them this year). The hotel is off Fort Union Ave by just far enough to not have too much road noise. It's walking distance to any/all retail you could dream of. Seriously, ANY. That includes a grocery store. Lots of restaurants, Target, Walmart, a Sierra Outfitters, and lots more. Amenities: Nice big pool, decent hot tub which is usually hot enough. Both can be overrun with kids and families, but if you keep your eye on things you can find quiet time in there, usually. As at any hotel, the highly-treated water can start to make your skin itch after too many days of apres-ski hot tubbing. The fitness room is large with lots of equipment; they don't have a Universal, but do have treadmills, elliptical, Peleton bike, recumbent, weight rack and two benches, assorted mats, rollers, Bosus, etc. Balance scale to check your weight. Breakfast is pretty good for this kind of hotel. Three kinds of eggs that cycle through (cheese and veggie omelettes, plain scrambled), three kinds of meat that do the same (bacon, ham, sausage). Potatoes or sometimes biscuits&gravy. Waffles. Oatmeal. Most days they put out a cereal selection. Canned fruit. Wednesday is the managers social dinner, which consists of a lettuce salad and a main like meatballs, BBW meat, or chili. Beer and wine, a dessert like blondies or lemon bars. We REALLY appreciate the Wednesday ”dinner.” Service: The staff is absolutely friendly and helpful, every one of them. Most speak some English (some do not, at all). Any problems we had with our room were addressed quickly. Rooms/Building: The building is shaped like a circle. In the summer, be careful of rooms that face the courtyard as there is a basketball court out there which is noisy. The rooms are big enough with what could be called a ”full” kitchen: 2 burner stovetop, full size fridge, dishwasher, drip coffee maker. Not really enough plates and flatware, one big and one small saucepan, toaster, microwave. Plenty of uncovered parking, mostly in the rear of the hotel. You can get a room with a gas fireplace, whi
Very nice facility, clean and comfortable, and friendly, helpful front desk staff. Good location for access to ski areas. Their “signature hot breakfast” was awful; if not for that, I would have given a five star rating. The turkey sausage patties were like eating shoe leather (I couldn’t eat it, threw it out) and the omelettes were institutional with what looked and tasted like processed cheese inside. I was told they could not serve anything better, that this was a “brand” requirement. Reflects very poorly on the brand, I’d say. Fortunately we were traveling by car and could bring our own breakfast food. I went downstairs every morning to get bananas (which were just-right ripe) to go with the unsweetened yogurt and homemade muffins and granola that we’d brought, so I can’t speak otherwise to the quality of their cold foods.
