Wow - this hotel blew us away! Firstly the staff are all so lovely, kind and friendly and always happy to help! They work hard keeping the hotel and grounds looking gorgeous, tidying the beach, and we even saw them setting up a gorgeous area for a beach proposal. The rooms and decor are beautiful. Everything has been thought of and it creates a calm tranquil atmosphere. The lighting on an evening is stunning!! Very special! The pool and bar area are perfect and it’s right on the beach. There aren’t many sun loungers, a previous review did mention this but we never struggled to get one and actually had plenty of choice, no idea where everyone was hiding! Pool is gorgeous and we loved the happy hours 12-2 and 5-7. Mojitos are delicious and watching the sunset with one in hand from the beach is amazing. Breakfast is lovely!! Get the banana pancakes you won’t be disappointed! :) Fresh fruit is tasty too but the eggs were never cooked enough. Which is my only tiny bit of feedback. We don’t usually eat at the hotel restaurant but this one was an exception - a gorgeous setting and some of the best food we’ve had all holiday! Recommend the beef massaman, cashew nut chicken and the satay. Thanks for a brilliant stay we can’t recommend this hotel enough!

There are not many varieties of breakfast, but the quality is good. Hotel service is very good. Suitable for people who like quiet people, Koh Phangan is really quiet, and there are very few people in China. Anantara always pays attention to eating, must go to the restaurant on the second floor of the hall, their home ingredients are really very good, and the price is reasonable. It is worth living. Alternatively, the hotel has free kayaking to play. Oh, yes, it may be that the ecological environment in Koh Phangan is so good that there are often lizards.

We booked 2 rooms at this hotel on the recommendation of a friend to go to the Half Moon Festival with 4 friends. The location was great with a pool in front of the full moon beach! Floating in the pool felt so good♫ However, I thought there would be a bathrobe, so I had to bring my pajamas. Amenities include only shower gel and shampoo. There were two bottles of water and a refrigerator. There is also an electric kettle to boil water. A deposit of 2,000 baht is required. I also want to stay at this hotel when I come to full moon.

Really nice hotel, we had 3 Superior rooms that overlooked the larger pool and with a view of the bay. They are very nicely styled and comfortable, with good beds and pillows, and aircon. They were very clean and with a nice big balcony. I think that standard rooms are perhaps in an older part of the hotel and overlook another pool, and are a little far from the main facilities. 1 issue with these room styles is the glass half height door on the toilet - meaning a distinct lack of privacy. The buffet breakfast was generally good, but go early to beat the rush, on one of our days we were late to breakfast and it was very busy with some things running out. Service in the rstaurant in the evening was hit and miss, but we found this was the case all over ths island. On one occasion we waited 1h20 minutes between ordering and receiving the last dish ordered, and 40 minutes between the first and last. Yet the restaurant was very quiet. Food quality was good and prices were correct. The pool was nice, very big and clean and the beach nearby is beautiful. There aren't enough sun loungers though, but if you go to the older pool then there is always space. Some reviews on hotel websites say that it is a little isolated. Not sure I'd totally agree, it is in a quieter area but there are plenty of restaurants and shops around within walking difference. The quietness of the area more than compensates for the isolation. You can easily rent a scooter for 200 baht a day or a car. However taking the hotel transport or other taxis is expensive in comparison, and also charged per person not per vehicle. TIP: snorkelling off the beach is great, but to get to the snorkelling area near the hotel is difficult, it's rocky and there are sharp rocks that cut and graze. The secret that we were told is to look on Google maps on satellite view. You can see a clear route through the rocks/reef at one point about 200 metres or so up the beach away from the resort. However shoes are still necessary. After that, the snorkelling was excellent in the morning when the sea was calm. Also go to the beach at sunset, it was lovely. Best restaurant we found was Wan Yam Kam just opposite the hotel entrance (it might have another name now - but that's the name on google maps). Service in other restaurants was hit and miss as described above. Expect to pay around 120-140 baht for a simple Thai dish, around 160-200 for non Thai, around 140-160 for a cocktail, 25 to 30 baht for a soda and 60-70 for a beer. We visited the waterfalls near the hotel - bizarre place and wrong season as no water! Our chidren did a PADI diving course with SailRock Divers school nearby, can recommend. Very good communication and teaching. My issue with Agoda (a rookie mistake as I usually use ***********) is that they are not transparent with pricing and payment. Phangan Akuna Tranquil haven with impressive and impeccable service From pre-arrival WhatsApp messages to the warmest of welcomes Rainnie was absolutely brilliant! Room/apartment immaculately clean, private, peaceful and quiet. The location is a haven set away from the roads but a short 10 minute walk to the beach and lively Srithanu with everything you could need, great dining and coffee shops plus easy restaurant delivery service available. Possible to rent bikes, and taxis are easily arranged. Clothes washing services both easy and value for money and apartments well equipped with microwave, hot plate kettle and kitchen galley. Fabulous little retreat to just be still and listen to the sound of birds and the occasional monkey. On site gym and swimming pool a bonus and the whole team look after the site and gardens beautifully. Rainnie is an absolute gem. Professional and friendly with nothing too much trouble and always ahead of your needs. If I could give Akuna six stars or more, I would and look forward to a return stay next year! Thank you

The location is close to the pier and there is a convenience store at the door. The room is good, big and clean, the bed is very comfortable, the sea view is good but the sea is not suitable for swimming, and the service is good.

Excellent place! Cannot fault the staff or food! Absolutely delicious food, and the service was impeccable. Coco was especially great :) definitely pay this place a visit if you are in Koh Phangnan. Our friends also stayed here and loved every second. We visited every night and every night it did not disappoint.

Attention, for whom it is important, the beds are very hard! They always gave me back pain in the morning. There is a river next to the hotel, which causes the smell of dampness and mold in the rooms! The hotel is located on a hill on a mountain, to get to it you need to climb up the mountain, for those who have difficulty with this, be careful when choosing a hotel! The hotel also has steep stairs, many steps, which are very difficult to climb in the heat. The hotel staff is very kind and helpful, helping with everything. When we left, I helped at the reception to buy ferry tickets and call a transfer, 200 baht per person. Good breakfast, taxi boats nearby and the best restaurant on the beach on the left side. This place was perfect! We stayed here here outside of full moon party time and it was great. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, we checked in early and there were no issues with that or when we needed to book an extra night. Staff spoke great English and were always extremely helpful. We booked a double room and it was clean cool and quiet. Exactly what we needed after staying in hostels for the past couple of weeks. They are not extremely modern but that is no bother when everything else is exceptional especially the price. Location is prime. Across the road from Haad Rin beach and a short walk to Sunset beach and Leela beach, you have it all. Lots of food and shops around too. Would throughly recommend this place if you want something of value!
