OYO 24 Sussex, London Paddington

All was good for my room except for clogging in shower room. I already told the reception from the day we checked in. However, they told they will fix the clogging issue the next day. Unfortunately, we came back in the evening to the hotel room and it wasn’t fixed yet. The receptionist offered us a new room which we need to change from level 2 to level 4 walk up (meaning no elevator). It was 11pm and I had my mother with me. I declined the offer as that wasn’t a good option for us. I wrote an email to the hotel manager about this and they just ignored my email. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for your stay in London. The fee should include a comfortable shower room but that wasn’t my case for 3 days 2 nights stay.

Absolutely total con artists/Scammers Booked this place back in April 2023 for a 3 night stay, 2 rooms from 17th November. Today I received a email to say that I had cancelled the reservation (WHICH I HAD NOT). They took a payment of £12 back in April and had the audacity to blame me for cancelling the booking and taking the full payment from my account today. I phoned the hotel to be told that there was un foreseeable circumstances and that they had cancelled my booking but had also charged me. I asked what the circumstances were and was told that the Hotel had closed. I will be checking this out next Friday when we visit London. Watch this space .

Easy checkin. Ok room. Downside was the bathroom for my room was 2 floors below my room. Random but was clean and tidy

We arrived early and were able to leave our bags at reception. The man on reception was friendly, helpful and polite. We checked in at number 30 where the reception is for 24 Sussex. Our room was clean, comfortable and had plenty of tea and coffee facilities. The location was excellent. Close to Paddington and Edgware Road tube so it was easy to get around. The Heron pub was nearby where they do excellent Thai food at a very reasonable price. The hotel provided free croissants and muffins for breakfast which was a lovely touch. The room wasn’t the biggest and not luxury but the price was excellent, the beds were comfy and it was clean. An excellent base for exploring London with lots of pubs, restaurants and shops nearby. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the area felt safe and was quiet at night despite being so central. Would stay again and recommend it.

I like the location and it’s very close to everything// I didn’t like the mattresses it’s was air mattress but the room it’s perfect only for 1 person .

I am happy that I only booked a one night stay at this hotel. This hotel is terrible and disgustingly dirty. The bed is old and uncomfortable, the sheets were filled with hair, the carpet is old and dirty and also had hair (apparently it had not been vacuumed), and due to it being so old and dirty my one night was not the most pleasant. The only positive thing was that it had a good shower and the stuff was nice. I will never stay here again.

No lift for persons with disabilities, small space, no air con, shared fridge, very spartan.

AVOID! We paid for a cheap hotel so didn't expect much. But the bed was uncomfortable - you could feel the mattress springs. The only sockets to plug your phone in were at the end of the bed or across the room. The shower overflowed all over the bathroom floor because it wasn't sealed properly on the outside and the drainage was insufficient. Someone did come to cut a bigger hole in the shower drain but it made no difference. The PVC shower mat has never been cleaned and very dirty. The door ***** to the bathroom is not fixed and loose so a trip hazard. There was a big damp patch on the wall which to be fair may have been from a recent leak upstairs. There was no response to reporting these issues. We had 2 rooms, one had hand soap and shampoo/shower gel. The other had shampoo/shower gel only. Reception insist they do not provide hand soap even though they were the same brand in one of the rooms. It's London and a good location so they can charge what they like and continue to ignore the problems or pretend not to understand you.
