Those who want to test their courage and get closer to the Creator should try it. The place is poorly maintained, the rooms are dirty, and the water smells. While the views are beautiful, it's a shame the building is poorly maintained.

Staying in this very unique place is an extraordinary experience. It's like air camping, but in a semi-open cabin. We were surrounded by tropical jungle, but we had a clear view of the Indian Ocean from our bed. In addition, rice fields and mountains are clearly visible. Totally recommended place

Unsafe/unsound facility infrastructure, leaky/useless roof, dusty, mossy and rotting wood stairs and furnitures, torn mosquito nets... This place has clearly been neglected for many many years and should not be open to public until serious rehabilitations are done.

Absolutely loved staying at villa karang aji - what a unique place! The view is stunning and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Johnes speaks great English and is quick to help with anything you need. It’s got a really cool Buddhist/bohemian aesthetic and it’s a great place to have some space and relax. I stayed here alone and it was very peaceful. It overlooks Karang Haji beach which is the best beach in the area in my opinion. Would definitely stay here again when I return to Cimaja area.

This was definitely one of the most unique and memorable places I’ve stayed! The villa itself was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The service was top-notch, and what really stood out was the host’s kindness and attentiveness—always ready to help with anything we needed. From arranging motorbikes and transport.
