voco THOUSAND ISLAND LAKE

InterContinental never disappoints, and this hotel is no exception. The pool is absolutely stunning, and I was thrilled with the room upgrade – it was a really nice touch. The service was excellent too; they even gave us complimentary drinks vouchers for the lobby bar. My only tiny suggestion would be a small bar within the hotel itself. It was unfortunately rainy and overcast during my stay, so the lake looked a bit grey. Next time, I'll definitely aim for a sunny day!

My experience at voco Qiandao Lake Sunac was absolutely perfect! The hotel is nestled on its own little corner of the lake island, offering a serene and tranquil environment with stunning lake and mountain views right outside the door. The rooms are clean, elegant, and comfortably laid out, with complete and well-maintained facilities. The staff are warm, attentive, and very polite. And the breakfast was truly delicious! Being here, you can quietly enjoy the beautiful scenery of Qiandao Lake while also indulging in a peaceful and relaxing vacation. My stay was incredibly comfortable, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time.

The service was terrible. On the day of check-in, I couldn't get through to guest services; the line was constantly busy. The lobby lights were turned off at 10 PM. The voco minibar offered only one Coke, one Qiandao Lake beer, and one Tea Pai. The voco welcome fruit consisted of just one banana, one apple, and one pear. The voco 'Shian' Canopy Play Experience was nothing more than a sculpture in the hotel.

Facilities: Overall, it's quite new. However, the fabric furnishings and walls in the guest rooms need timely cleaning and repairs, as they tend to get dirty easily. Hygiene: The guest rooms were fine. The cleanliness of the public area umbrellas on the terrace outside the lobby needs attention. During holidays, with many children around, it gets dirty quickly. Environment: Exceeded expectations, it's simply paradise on earth. The view alone makes the room rate worth it! Service: Overall, pretty good! The live band performances in the lobby bar are excellent. Personally, I found the volume a bit too high. It might be a design issue with the space, as the echoes in the hallway can be quite noisy. Overall, everything was good, and breakfast was also on point. The only thing to note is that the hotel's guest room area doesn't have an underground parking garage. Parking at the lobby and then getting to the guest rooms can be quite a long distance, which could be a big challenge on a rainy day.

True to its reputation as the most premium-priced hotel in Qiandao Lake, while others double their rates, Voco quadruples them! But it comes with a lot of positives: 1. When the weather is good, the drive into the hotel gives you strong vibes of Sanya Park Hyatt. 2. The concierge service is excellent – they are very proactive with luggage and opening car doors. 3. There's a minibar; not a huge selection, but it includes Qiandao Lake beer. 4. We received two complimentary drink vouchers for the bar, which immediately boosted the vacation feel. 5. The travel photography service is high quality, with costumes and makeup provided – really good! 6. The lake view is unbeatable, whether from the restaurant or the lobby. 7. The infinity pool isn't huge but it's perfect for sunset photos, no need to go to Tianyu. 8. Breakfast quality is high, and they even have a dedicated kids' buffet section – I've stayed at a hundred five-star hotels and this is the first time I've seen that. 9. The kids' club is pretty good; it can keep them entertained for about an hour. 10. The gym also boasts three-sided lake views, which is rare. 11. The room isn't large, but the TV is excellent, with plenty of shows that my kids loved. 12. We received welcome snacks and fruit. 13. There are complimentary drinks in the lobby, which my family enjoyed. 14. There's a band performance with a Filipino singer, which creates a good atmosphere. 15. The toiletries are good quality, imported. However, there are a few downsides: 1. The canopy tent is quite ordinary. 2. There's no butler service. 3. The upgraded room wasn't great and had a poor view.

Facilities: The hardware facilities align well with modern urban design, very stylish and fashionable! Cleanliness: Regarding cleanliness, I often saw staff cleaning the hotel and courtyard during my stay, so there were no major issues here. It was very clean and fresh. Environment: The environment is the most praiseworthy aspect! After much research, I blindly chose this hotel and was so pleasantly surprised! You can see a panoramic view of Qiandao Lake directly from the first floor. Service: Excellent! Everyone was very polite. Since we were traveling with a child, they proactively offered assistance during breakfast, bringing a high chair and disposable bibs, which was incredibly thoughtful and very friendly for families with babies. We'll definitely come again! Finally, I hope the hotel's breakfast could include a section specifically for younger babies; that would be even better!

I was hoping for a comfortable and relaxing stay, but the bed was so soft that I ended up feeling more tired. I shouldn't have traveled during the May Day holiday; the value for money was really low for what felt like a very standard hotel room. On the bright side, breakfast was plentiful, the terrace was quite nice, and the evening show was enjoyable.

The surroundings of the room are excellent, with a very open view of the central lake. However, the interior facilities of the room are a bit old and not smart enough. The lighting is also a bit dim, and there's no free laundry service; you have to pay extra. The hotel's breakfast is decent, but there's a bit too much bread and carbs. I hope they could offer more fruit.

The hotel's location is excellent, boasting exclusive lake views. It's super convenient for family vacations with kids, offering a playground and a swimming pool. The breakfast spread is extensive, and the hotel maintains good hygiene.
