Mercure Properties in Chongqing

This hotel is located on Bayi Road in downtown Chongqing, making it incredibly convenient for getting around, shopping, and accessing public transport like buses and the subway. It's also very close to Jiefangbei, and there's a night market and food street nearby in the evenings. The hotel communicated the check-in time with me a day in advance. I booked a 1.5-meter twin room, which was spacious, neat, and clean, with excellent air conditioning. Crucially, it was quiet at night, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the beds were comfortable. Throughout my stay, the staff provided thoughtful service, which I noticed in many small details, such as mosquito repellent, universal power adapters, complimentary mini Cokes and mineral water in the fridge, and even a surprise afternoon tea. They also offer laundry and drying services on the 14th floor. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including Chongqing noodles, congee, bread, cakes, fruit, milk, various stir-fried dishes, and more. Contrary to some online reviews I'd seen about outdated decor, the renovation seemed quite new. Overall, it was an excellent choice for my trip to Chongqing.

The hotel's location is easy to find, surrounded by residential areas, which is perfect for travelers looking to experience authentic local life. The room was clean and tidy, well-equipped, and the air conditioning worked great, making the room nice and warm. The front desk service was excellent, polite and patient. They even gave me a souvenir upon check-out, which was a lovely end to my trip. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely choose Mercure Dadukou again next time I'm in Chongqing!
