Xiangning Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street Hongyadong Branch)

Extended the trip cuz realise the airport bus boarding area is just downstairs (see attached pic) so dropped my previously booked hotel elsewhere instead, and I extend this hotel stay :)

Really good location, convenient to places of interest. Lift going up with suitcases on the first day was a pain but ok after that. One of the receptionists was a bit unhelpful but there was another who was really good so it depends on who you meet on the day.

I had a very comfortable week-long stay here. The hotel is located near Jiefangbei, one of Chongqing’s most famous landmarks and a bustling downtown area. Since it’s right by the metro station, transportation was incredibly convenient. The room was clean, quiet, and well-maintained with daily housekeeping. I especially enjoyed the hot showers and the peaceful atmosphere. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, making it even more convenient. I highly recommend it for a relaxing trip!

The location is the best thing about the hotel. Shopping and food are within walking distance. Metro is just outside the hotel. It is very easy to get taxi and DiDi. There is a bus to the airport, start at 0530hrs, daily, for just 15 RMB per pax.

Some bugs in the bathroom but I think they fly up from drains. Laundry room only had 1 washer and 1 washer/dryer combo. Non smoking but guests were constantly smoking throughout the floor. Included a pic of ashtray looking garbage can located everywhere. AC wasn't cold and heat wasn't warm. Basically, just a fan. Breakfast was a very small selection of a typical Chinese breakfast. 3 elevators but takes up to 15 minutes when busy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent location. Walking distance to malls, attractions, and transit.

Hotel location is perfect with the good room rate. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable beding. Only 5 min walk to Jie Fang Bei street walk and there is a big underground shopping right in front of hotel and very good deal. Room is facing main road, hence, it is a bit noisy if open the window. The weak point is there are many hotels in the same building which have 21 floors but not sure how many hotels in the building. I guess easily more than 5 hotels inside the building. Another headache was the lift. only 3 lifts serving multiple hotels. Unfortunately, we experienced the water heater supply down on our last night stay and it was not even able to resolve the next day morning. We were arranged to go to the other hotel room which located in 4th floor to shower and refresh. The hotel staff gifted a fridge magnet to each of us when check out as an apologise on the water heater issue. Overall are good. We had a pleasant stay in XiangNing Hotel.
