The room was very clean, and I especially loved the view of the boats passing by and the neon lights from the window. It was beautiful.

Compared to a pure city view, getting a river-view room this time was an unexpected delight. The expansive view directly from the window not only allowed me to see the modern buildings of Jiangbeizui across the river but also a glimpse of where the Jialing River meets the Yangtze. The river's color changed throughout the day; it was a steely gray in the morning and shimmered like golden scales under the sunset in the evening. The most captivating time was at night, when the lights from both banks reflected on the deep blue river, and slow-moving cruise boats glided by, like a flowing painting. The guesthouse's location remains impeccable, with Chaotianmen Metro Station just a stone's throw away. Yet, once the window was closed, the interior was remarkably quiet, with only the glow of the projector and the river view outside for company. This 'step out into bustle, step in to tranquility' experience is truly rare. It was incredibly convenient to walk to Hongyadong and Raffles City, and whenever I got tired from exploring, I could easily return to this 'home' with a river view, allowing me to fully control the pace of my trip. The projector worked great; watching 'Zootopia' and then looking up to see the real Chongqing nightscape outside—this blend of the virtual and real was the most profound memory of the trip.

The location is still top-notch (yyds). You can literally walk blind from Exit 4 and directly into the building, no umbrella needed even on a rainy day. This time I discovered a new route: walking through the alley behind the B&B to Daijiaxiang, it's much faster than navigating, and the fried dough twists and oil tea from the local breakfast stalls were incredibly fragrant! If I had to pick a flaw… it's probably that it's too popular 🔥 I wanted to extend my stay but it was fully booked 😭 It has officially become my go-to spot whenever I come to Chongqing, I genuinely and enthusiastically recommend it!

After a day of exploring until my legs gave out, coming back to make a cup of tea and lounging by the window instantly recharged me. Following the host's guide, a small path behind the B&B leads straight to Chaotianmen Dock. Watching the sunset and feeling the breeze on the riverside beach in the evening is a hundred times more pleasant than squeezing onto crowded observation decks! Even through the frosted glass in the shower, you can still see the silhouette of the river view outside the window. This design is just brilliant!

I highly recommend this guesthouse near Chaotianmen! It was even better in person than in the photos. The room was clean and bright, and the king-size room with a window was very well-ventilated, with no dampness at all. In the morning, opening the curtains revealed the buildings across the river, faintly visible in the morning mist, perfectly capturing the 'magical mountain city' vibe. The projector was the best I've experienced in a guesthouse recently; it had plenty of content and streamed smoothly. Coming back after sightseeing to watch a Chongqing-related movie was particularly fitting. The location is definitely the biggest highlight: it's just around the corner from Exit 4, there's a bus stop downstairs, it's less than a 10-minute walk to the Yangtze River Cableway, and it's an easy stroll to Hongyadong at night to see the illuminated city. The host thoughtfully prepared a hand-drawn map of local eateries, and the pea noodles in the alley next door were absolutely incredible! This place is perfect for travelers who enjoy urban exploration and prioritize convenience and a good experience.

From the window, you see layers upon layers of buildings and the Yangtze River, and on a cloudy day, it actually has this awesome cyberpunk feel 🌆. It's just a short walk (okay, maybe not *one cigarette* short, but really close!) to take photos at Baixiangju or visit Huguang Guild Hall. My only minor regret is that the bathroom drain was a bit slow, but the host said he's having someone fix it right away.
