Residenza Dei Ricci

I actually went in 2024 but I think I only reviewed on *********** and Google. I had to write this review as right now I am still thinking of the breakfast I received here - even as the only person staying in the B&B. I wish I had longer, what a wonderful place!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful B&B. The hospitality was truly outstanding — the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even brought us to the most amazing restaurant, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The whole experience was unforgettable, and without doubt the best I’ve ever had in Italy. Everything about our stay was perfect — from the comfort of the accommodation to the warm, personal touches that made us feel at home. If you are looking for an authentic Italian experience filled with history, charm, and genuine hospitality, this is the place to stay. We are so grateful for the memories and can’t wait to return!

Our trip to view Etruscan sites in Chiusi and nearby Sarteano was made even more magical with a three day stay at this Relais. A truly wonderful B&B hosted by Donatella and Raffaele. Great location in the old town with a wonderful room, garden and breakfast. Pastries were outstanding. Raffaele helped with taxis and restaurant recommendations. Such a memorable stay. Grazie.

Raphael and Donatello could not have been more gracious hosts. The rooms are beautiful and make you feel at home. The grounds are magnificent. You walk around and you just can’t believe the beauty. You feel like that you just got placed in a Hallmark movie setting. The breakfast is amazing. We felt like we had just visited relatives and stayed for the week. It was so hard to say goodbye to them and their beautiful villa. The location could not have been more perfect… right in the middle of this beautiful Italian town. I can’t wait to come back.

I stayed for a week in May 2025 at the Residenza Dei Ricci. The accommodation is beautiful and unique. My room was lovely and exceptionally clean; the breakfast was fabulous, with home cooked pastries and cakes made by Donatella. Both the owners, Raffaelli and Donatella are gracious, so friendly and genuine. I would certainly stay here again. Sandra

Great experience! Very old estate home upgraded to modern conveniences. Hosts friendly and helpful. Delicious home made breakfast. We will be back and stay for a longer period.

I spent 8 nights at Residenza Dei Ricci and it was truly one of the best experiences I have had travelling. Donatello and Raffaele were such gracious hosts and really went above and beyond to make my stay special. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the linens luxurious. Donatella is an incredible chef and breakfast was not only a treat for the eyes, but the variety of baked goods was outstanding. There was also a choice of meats, cheese, fruit and bread as well as savoury mini quiches. Juice, cereals and for those with gluten intolerance there was a selection to choose from. I did not go away hungry or wanting more. I did a cooking class with Donatella one afternoon. She was patient and shared her secrets for making the best fresh made pasta dough. We made ravioli, tagliatelle and topped off the experience making tiramisu. All of which I got to enjoy for dinner that evening! Residenza Dei Ricci is located a short walking distance to many restaurants and a fantastic coffee shop. There is also a beautiful garden to enjoy and they truly made me feel welcomed to make myself at home. I truly did feel at home and was sad to leave, but I look forward to returning to this gem and Chiusi.

Beautiful, charming hotel! SUPER comfortable bed, my husband and I really liked this hotel. The host was very nice and I wish I got more than one night hear. Hope I can return!

Living in a Palazzo We stayed in the Zodiac Room, which has frescos on the ceiling and beautiful antique furniture. The room is right off a shared common area which is also palatial and furnished with antiques. If you want to experience lifving in an autherntic Italian palazzo, this is the place! The owners are very freindly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent.
