Tsurumai-No-yu Dormy Inn Chitose

The hotel's interior is great, and the cleanliness is up to the usual Dormy Inn standard. However, the transportation isn't very convenient, and there's no shopping area nearby. On the other hand, it's easy to get to the airport, which was good for us as we were self-driving, though parking spaces are limited. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious options, primarily Japanese hot dishes, with fewer raw choices.

The hotel is very new and clean overall. It's close to the airport, just two stops away. Besides the public hot spring, there's also a private hot spring room you can use for half an hour per session. After your bath, you can enjoy a free popsicle or Yakult. There's also a welcome gift in the room, and the complimentary late-night snack was delicious.

This hotel offers incredible value for money, with many thoughtful and considerate details. For example, there's a corner seat in the elevator and even an emergency first-aid kit. The shower area in the bathroom has a seat, which is convenient for children or the elderly. The facilities are new, clean, and very stylishly designed! Also, after 9:30 PM, there's a complimentary late-night snack service, which brings different guests together outside the restaurant to share a meal – a unique and charming travel experience. What's more, after a hot spring soak, there are free popsicles and Yakult, along with a selection of famous manga available for browsing, making you feel truly at home. The only minor drawback is the limited parking space, but fortunately, there are many paid parking lots nearby.

We arrived at the airport at 11:20 PM on the first night, and after waiting for our luggage, we missed the last JR train to the city center. Since the airport hotels didn't have quad rooms, we booked this new hotel. A taxi to the hotel was under 3000 yen. The room was super spacious with two double beds and a sofa, and there was still enough space for several large suitcases. It cost $1500 for 2 adults and 2 children, including accommodation tax, for 29 square meters. If we had arrived earlier and had time to use the large public bath, it would have been even more worthwhile. I deducted points for service because I booked 3 beds, but they only provided two double beds. However, we were too tired to contact reception and just made do. The separate wet and dry bathroom was great, but I'd suggest adding a hand towel in the toilet and a basket in the shower area for clothes/towels.

I was very satisfied with the hot spring bath and the clean interior. They also book airport taxis for you. It was great to use the private onsen, and the ice cream, complimentary soba, and yogurt were all excellent. It feels new since it was recently renovated.

I've always loved this hotel chain. They offer hot spring baths with snacks, and late-night supper. The location is close to New Chitose Airport. While there aren't many major attractions nearby, its tranquil environment is a big plus. The staff are all very friendly. The best part is the flat parking lot, and the hotel also provides trolleys, which are super convenient for handling luggage. I'll definitely consider making this hotel the last stop of my trip next time.
