This was my first stay, and I was incredibly impressed. The staff's greetings and service were exceptionally friendly and wonderful. The buffet offered a great variety and was delicious, and the open-air bath was superb. I learned it's a historic hotel, celebrating its 100th anniversary! It's been renovated, and the lobby looked very stylish. The amenities were also excellent. I would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

Nice hotel with beautiful hot springs. Both dinner and breakfast were great, although quite a lot of people. Also, it’s a family hotel, so if you don’t like being surrounded by children, cannot recommend.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, and overall, it was quite a pleasant experience. I really liked my room — it was clean, modern, and comfortable. The only thing that surprised me was that the window to the balcony didn’t open, though I suppose it was designed that way. The onsen was absolutely wonderful — spacious, relaxing, and with a beautiful view of a mountain river. Definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel also offers many different areas for leisure and entertainment. You can play table tennis, relax in cozy rest zones, visit small cafés and shops — there’s a lot to explore without even leaving the building. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a wide variety of food to choose from. However, due to the number of guests, it was a bit challenging for the staff to manage everything smoothly. On two occasions, someone almost took my table, even though I had already placed the reservation card on it to show it was taken. That said, the staff overall were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful, and I appreciated their attitude throughout my stay. This hotel is clearly family-oriented, with many families staying with young children. There are rooms with child-friendly designs and dedicated play areas, so if you’re looking for a quiet, adult-only atmosphere, this might not be the best fit. That said, I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would consider coming back.

We stayed here after hiking Mount Kitayokodake. There were many families with children. I've been on weekdays before, and if you choose your time carefully, the baths and restaurant aren't too crowded. The open-air bath is wonderful! It's luxurious to have it almost to yourself for most of the time. The room we stayed in was quite old, and we found two toilet bugs. It was extremely dry, so we set up a humidifier right next to the bed. It was great to be able to use the shuttle bus to the station on the way back. Overall, I think it's worth the price. I'd like to stay here with my family next time.

We chose this facility because it had a large kids' area. In fact, our child played in the kids' park until the very last minute, and we were able to let him play plenty inside the facility as well. The hot springs were incredibly clean. The open-air bath overlooking the mountain stream was very relaxing. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.

Suitable for people with small children

I stayed in a twin room on September 1, 2025. It was very busy with tourists, and the front desk was congested. The food buffet was more about quantity than quality, so I ended up overeating. I could hear the movement of guests on the floor above me and the sound of water leaking from the drain pipes. Water was leaking from the floor of the unit bathroom. The toilet was child-sized, and the hot water was a little hot, but I would definitely stay here again.

The price seemed a little high because it was summer vacation, and the room was small and not very nice.

Both the buffet dinner and breakfast (first thing in the morning as they get crowded) were delicious and very satisfying! The large public bath and open-air bath were easy to use and relaxing. Our room (a Japanese-style room on the fifth floor) had a dated feel, and we could hear the sounds from the next room, but we just had to be careful. The staff were all very kind, and it was a very comfortable inn for a family with children.

The hot spring environment is very good. I also saw wild deer. There are many kinds of food, which are very delicious.

We checked in on January 28th for three nights and booked three rooms, two of which included breakfast. However, the hotel front desk only left an elderly waiter who did not speak English after 9pm, which caused great inconvenience in communication. The most unsatisfactory thing was that on the morning of check-out, the front desk insisted that none of our rooms included breakfast and asked for an additional 15,000 yen breakfast fee. In desperation, we asked a driver who had lived in Japan for 20 years to come and communicate in Japanese, but the attitude of the front desk was very bad, and he directly said, "You just don't have breakfast, pay up quickly, don't make trouble." Such an attitude, even when facing a driver who has lived in Japan for a long time and speaks fluent Japanese, does not take objective facts into consideration. In the end, we negotiated for an hour to clarify the misunderstanding, and the hotel returned the extra money to us. This experience is really disappointing, especially when traveling during the New Year. It is really bad and disgusting to encounter such a service attitude. It is worth mentioning that the hotel facilities, hot springs and rooms themselves are very good, but the service attitude of the front desk is really disappointing. Another typical example is that one night I forgot to bring my room card, and went to the front desk to request a replacement, saying that I would return it after finding the original card. But the elderly waiter at the front desk refused to give me the room card and insisted on going upstairs with us in person and returning it to us after we found the card in the room. He even acted impatient and said that he was busy and asked us not to disturb him. Overall, the hardware conditions of this hotel are good, but the service quality of the front desk is extremely poor. If you pay more attention to the service experience, it is recommended to consider it carefully.

The staff were kind. I stayed for two nights, but the breakfast and dinner were exactly the same. Overall it was good. The nearby tourist spot, Tateshina Falls, was very good!
