The Common Hostel

Great hostel. The two of us had booked a queen-size bed in a shared room. There was a private locker big enough for 2 backpacks. The room was quiet and pleasant (despite 10 double beds). Nobody was loud or disruptive. For breakfast there was toast, fresh fruit, rice and soup. You could drink water and coffee for free all day.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is very convenient to walk to other attractions in the ancient city. The service staff are kind and courteous, the tenants are of good quality, and they respect each other in the backpacking room without making any noise. It may be cheaper to book directly with the hotel than through a booking website

Pros: Cleanliness is OK, bed is comfortable, breakfast is OK Disadvantages: The room is very small. Two people stay in a private room with bathroom. They cannot move around freely and have to give way. Because of the high-rating reviews, I originally booked three nights, but I couldn't sleep on the first night. The sound insulation was very poor. The door was closed outside, and the sound of the hair dryer blowing hair was very clear when walking around. Not to mention that there were people chatting and laughing in the lobby until three or four in the middle of the night. !!When I told the counter, the attitude was cold and they said they couldn't handle it. I applied to trip.com to cancel the other two nights. How can I travel because I can’t have a good rest? But the hotel replied that they could not refund the money. Even so, I had to admit that I was unlucky. I only blamed myself for being brainwashed by the high-scoring reviews... I had to move out even if I lost money. I moved to a hotel near Tha Pae Gate the next day.

The room is very clean, each person is independent, the bathroom and toilet are clean, the boss is very welcoming, it is very quiet to sleep at night, no one is making any noise. Breakfast is included every day, so you can go out after eating, which is very convenient. Breakfast is also delicious😄 The hotel is located in the ancient city, very close to the weekend night market. You can visit the ancient city, or walk to Tha Pae Gate, Chirundi Temple, etc. All in all, the accommodation experience was very good! ! It’s a great youth hostel, and it also has private rooms that can be booked! !
