Pingviman Hotel

This was the best out of the three hotels I stayed at in Chiang Mai, mainly because of the excellent service. There was a Chinese-speaking female staff member at the front desk who was very kind and helpful. Although the room was a bit old, it was very spacious and quiet. Our family of three stayed in a room with one large bed and one small bed, and we all slept very well.

The hotel's interior environment is excellent. I really loved the solid wood furniture in the room – it's unique and very sturdy. The bathtub was also fantastic. The only downside was the breakfast, which was a bit lacking, and the restaurant was a bit small.

Overall, the hotel is pretty good. The pool is huge, but sometimes non-guests, particularly foreigners, use it. In the room, there was a crack and a dent in the floor, which was quite uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable thing was that there was only one pair of very heavy flip-flops provided, which were really unpleasant to wear. Perhaps these are custom-made for foreign guests. The breakfast was almost entirely Western-style. I'd recommend booking without breakfast and eating out instead; it'll be more enjoyable.

The environment was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and it was very convenient for getting around.
