Absolutely awful. We had stayed 5 years ago. And thought it might be a good place to stay again. Unfortunately not the shower wasn't clean. The pillows, duvet, mattress cover all had so much yellow staining Advertised as luxury mews accommodation, it definitely isn't. We were unlucky enough to have the noisiest downs neighbour, so definitely no sound proofing. Constantly shouting , singing, talking so loudly until we'll after 3.30am. So we had no sleep. And although no-one would have known the neighbour had no thought fir the rest of us staying there. It was an awful experience we stayed one night of two we are offered no refund as apparently, we should have got in touch with the owners. We weren't in until late. We were tired, last thing people need it having to get fresh bedding, a cleaner in etc. I was told we only made a bad review after receiving no refund. But that is not true. The bad review was happening anyway to warn others to AVOID staying at this place. 🙃

Great place to stop for a night as we did twice before. This time we were dissapointed. Mattress cover was stained with wee and blood. Rung the owner who said it had been washed and was quite adamant the mattress cover was fine and said most places have stained covers. He was quite argumentative about it. He eventually sent a cleaner to replace cover. Cleaner was quite apologetic about state of cover. Feel the owner should have apologised rather than lose his rag!!

If any of our party needed life saving medication to be in the fridge Oakwood park mews camp site would have indangered life. They unplugged the electric hookup whilst we were out .out of being petty as we didn’t know when it was unplugged had to throw food out. Absolutely the worst stay. As you have requested please see my comments regarding my stay at your establishment. I have also attached receipts of what we actually paid for. I ask for your prompt reply. 1, We paid for a hard standing full service pitch, I have asked you several times why we were not given what we were paid for, you have never responded, accept from with expletives. Why were we put on a grass pitch with no water or drainage? How do you justify this. 2, Your staff member Michelle told us we could have the extra awning, and it is an awning a drive away awning. We offered to pay extra and she told us not to worry about it, she led us on to the pitch. I asked where our water supply was, she gave a me a hose and said use this. We did use it but this was taken away from us, by I assume one of your workers who lives in the caravan near to us. 3, You dropped by and spoke to my husband about the awning, granted we had placed it a bit close to the road. You asked us to move it the following day and clearly stated “and I won’t even charge for it” I heard you say this as I was in the awning. You stated that Michelle who checked us in was new and “didn’t know what she was talking about” 4, The next day we moved everything across the field at your request, we then received an email saying we owed you £75. 5, Instead of coming to talk to us you sent Michelle, who asked us for the money. We explained to Michelle that we had not got what we had paid for. Michelle agreed she said you should be on a full service pitch as that is what was booked. Now as you stated in a previous conversation “Michelle doesn’t know what she is talking about” we informed Michelle of your comments, however, whether she “knows what she was talking about” or not, she is a representative of your company and she informed us that we were not where we were supposed to be or received what he had paid for. I will say that Michelle was very accommodating and friendly, you could learn a lot from her! 6, I called you to try and resolve the matter. You were rude confrontational and threatening! You would not allow me to speak and told me I was “taking the piss”. You then sent threatening texts. You stated that I had to be off by 6, you then stated you’ve probably been in the pub all day and are pissed, that’s not my problem. Never wise to make assumptions Mr Townsend! Instead of letting me speak you hung up and sent a threatening text! You then called my phone back and spoke to my sister in law, you were threatening and intimidating with her, you said I am not afraid of you Mrs Price and I can’t wait to meet Mr Price ( I don’t know why you assumed she was my wife), my sister in law said to you it is not wise to mak

*****Never stay here!!*** I booked four nights, hard standing fully serviced pitch with water, electric and drainage! When I got there they decided they’d put me on a grass pitch with no water! We asked the receptionist Michelle when we got there if it was okay for two awnings on the caravan and that we didn’t mind paying the extra. She said it was fine and we didn’t have to pay anything. So we set up, asked Michelle where our water was. She brought us a hose and said to use this on our water caddy which we did. This was then taken back so we then had to get our own water. So we Set up both awnings and tried to chill. Then the owner Peter came to us at 8pm and said who said you could have that tent as well as your other awning. We explained it wasn’t a tent and that it was a drive away awning and we had asked the receptionist if it was okay and she had said yes. Peter said well she is new and doesn’t know anything yet and she shouldn’t of told you that. He went on to say well it can’t stay here it’s too close to the road. He said can you move it tomorrow to just over the field and “I’ll tell you what I won’t even charge you for it”! So next day we took everything down, moved it torrential rain ensued and we ended up being flooded, but hey that’s camping I guess. My husband then got an email saying we owe the site £75. We thought that can’t be right we we paid in advance and didn’t think anything of it. Next day Michelle pops by to see us and says did you get the email you need to pay £75. So I said why, she said Peter doesn’t believe that the extra awning is an awning and he is charging the rent rate. So I explained what Peter had said about us moving everything and he wouldn’t charge. Michelle said he has decided to charge you. So I said well we aren’t supposed to be on a field we had booked a hard standing pitch with full service. She said”I know you didn’t get what you paid for, your pitch should have been hardstanding and with a water/drainage supply. So I asked what Peter’s problem was then if he couldn’t even give me the pitch we booked in the first place. I said that due to the rain last night we were flooded in our awning and I asked Michelle to come see. She was wearing sandals and declined! She gave me Peters number and I thought I’ll call him later as we were heading off to Liverpool. So, decided I’d call Peter at about 5 thinking it will just be a calm discussion. Peter’s answers and I say who am, he immediately erupts and starts swearing at me! “I have taken the piss by putting up a tent! I said it’s not a tent it’s an awning and I had cleared it with staff before putting up (awnings are charged £5 extra which we offered to pay). I reminded him he had told us if we moved he would not charge us and he denied he ever said it. So I asked why I was out on the field when I paid for a hardstanding full service pitch. He just completely ignored that question and ranted on at how much I take the piss. He said I want you off by 6pm (less tha

Came to stay at the back of this in their alleged luxury camping. Let’s just say it’s far from luxurious. The owner Peter is delusional, and tries to be intimidating and a bully. The place was a joke he refuses to give refunds. Threatens people. Unplugs their electric. Shouts and screams and swears. Quite frankly unsure how he has a business at all. Happy to take peoples money and over book them. Wish we had read the reviews before hand to avoid. Worse place we have ever stopped at and they block reviews everywhere to stop people hearing about it. This picture is our alleged hard standing luxury pitch with water and drainage that we paid for instead as you can see we were sited in-front of a dirty old caravan with stagnant water under it and bait boxes everywhere. Then may I add we were threatened to leave and given twenty minutes to do so

Last minute booking at 8pm at night after shopping in the area and planning a day at the zoo the following day. No bother, given a code for the property. Beautiful ,clean and well lit forecourted area. I struggled with the key box and a neighbour helped...but that was a me problem. Clean and a unique room, we loved it. Mattress springs dug in my shoulder and I woke up with a dead arm at 5am. Wouldn't hesitate to book again if i was in the area.
