Hotels near Valluvar Kottam in Chennai

Location was excellent. Very close to Varni mahal and other places where music festivals were conducted which made us to walk to these places. Pandy bazar was very close and walking distance to do shopping. Service was excellent too. Morning complementary breakfast had both Indian and western food with ***y varieties. Service at this place was excellent. Reception at hotel was very good and helpful especially from the ***ager Raja Priyan. Only suggestion is the bathroom cleaning can be little better, especially the toilet cleaning.

The hotel room was nicely sized, had a comfy bed and had free daily fruit platters. There was a blackboard touch on each level that encouraged guests to practise Tamil! The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even packed an early morning breakfast box for us. We had lots of conversations and good insights into the city and sightseeing through the staff members. The breakfast and dinner were outstandingly good! Would book here again and again!

Hotel location is good, about half an hour drive from the airport, shopping and shopping around is more convenient. Good facilities, intimate service, rich breakfast and friendly staff. In short, value for money. To vomit is the credit card checkout shows the price of Lu, the result is the dollar, the key is the exchange rate of the two. Proposal to pay with rupees if possible.

We have always enjoyed staying at Taj Coro***del. All the staff have made us feel at home with their exceptional service. The executive rooms and luxury rooms are extremely comfortable. The entire restaurant and kitchen at Southern Spice team who enticed us with their superb food. The entire Front Office team who made our check-in and check-out seamless. The entire Door*** and Concierge team who helped us with our endless shopping bags. The entire Housekeeping team who did something small every day to put a smile on our faces when we returned back to the room. The entire In-Room Dining team who accommodated our late night food and coffee orders. Its nicely located in the middle of old town. but this means that the views are boring. i think the hotel is just coming out of covid issues as it is understaffed and most of the resaturants are closed and the food its iffy at best. i spend the the first hour of my stay as they relaced the mini fridge that had stopped wokking and had leaked all over the wood cabinet leading to a stink. next day i spend three hours waiting for maintaince to water proof the bathroom that was leaking into the sleeping area. the third day i had to watch for an hour as the Ac maintaince were trying to repair a leak which had seeped into the false ceiling leading to a new smell. The rooms are nice and spacious. so are teh bathroom but the WC is located in a tiny alcove in the bathroom making it unconfortable to reach for the health faucet. teh towels are clean and the beds confortable. the writing cair and table are well made and teh easy chair is also comfortable even for a big sized man like me. the laundry service is efficient. the complimentary Tata branded tea and coffee is undrinkable, so is whatever brand of creamer they use. i dont undersand why they dont just use amul and nescafe. inroom entertainment is still just basic tamil cable TV. room cleanliness is average with cobwebs on the bathroom sink and tea stains on the floor. again this is due to understaffing and overworking the existing staff. the staff themself is very helpful and hardworking. the restaurant is understaffed but despite this, the staff were helpful and pleasant. and the chef's range is a bit limited. the lobby area is nice and spacious, but the corridors poorly maintained with gaps in the carpets and the floors leading to repeated tripping risks. the carpets stink. the pool on the roof is nice and large but can only be used ealy mornings or in the evenings as it has no awning. I had a pleasant swim one evening and wounddown on the comfortable deck chairs. the changing rooms leave a lot to be desired. the gym is well equipped. they have a spa but didnt have male massuese so could be utilized. but it looked clean and pleasant. wifi connectivity was good through out the hotel and not spotty at all. basically this could be a great hotel if they staffed it well and updated basic infrastcuture and threw out their stinking carpets. But it looks like staff will be made to do more and more with less and less. would i visit again? unlikely.

I have stayed in this hotel twice now, We were at Rela Institute for medical purposes, and had taken a two bedroom suit. It is by far one of the highest standards of hospitality that we, as a family, have ever experienced. The team lives by the motto they wear on their sleeve, ”Service from the Heart”. Nowhere have we witnessed such a beautiful combination of a serviced apartment with star hotel like facilities. Right from the room design, hygiene, the food to promptness of service, a full five stars for everything. An everlasting memory! May thanks to Mr. Ravi and his highly motivated team.

I had the most wonderful experience at Taj Connemara. Right from check in where my the receptionist upgraded me, to my encounter with Gracy Varghese, who noticed my tired and worn out state and sent me foot bath to my room. (I was so touched I could cry) she was god sent. Cherry on the cake was my dinner at Rain tree. Venky and Arpita ensured I try a bit of everything and not once did they make me feel that I was dining alone on a work trip, Chef Vinod cooked up delicious delicacies and the payasam was out of the world. I am so glad I stayed here, fallen in love with Chennai thanks to the courteous staff of Taj Connemara. Will definitely visit again and come back with family. Highly recommend! ♥️

The hotel was clean, service was good, and it was a comfortable stay. The restaurant dinner and breakfast buffet were also delicious. An apple as a welcome fruit, two bottles of mineral water, tea bags of several kinds of tea and instant coffee were prepared, and it was nice to be able to relax in the room after check-in. As I have seen in other reviews, it is true that the drainage in the shower room is not very good, so be careful. When I checked out, the front desk asked me to take an Uber because the taxi to the airport was expensive, and when I tried to change money because I didn't have enough cash, even though it was a small amount, he said that he wouldn't exchange money for that. gave me pocket money. I have stayed in hotels in various countries, but this kind of hospitality is the first time. I think the fact that we have employees like him is what makes this hotel so great.

At around 400, this city is currently the most recommended hotel. The service standard is not lost to domestic holidays. It is near the sea and the airport is not far. Although there are no shopping malls next door, the city has to take taxis wherever they go. Not expensive so it's very convenient

The suites are amazing, two bedrooms, three bathrooms, two bathrooms. Suitable for family travel. A few episodes occurred at check-in, but Ctrip's customer service quickly helped resolve the issue.
