one of the smoothest hotel experiences i've had in china; it's family-owned and the staff are warm and friendly! we received a room upgrade free of charge upon arrival an our room was clean, modern, spacious, and quiet. there's free coffee and mini snacks on the 4th floor, along with a self-serve free laundry (wash + dry combined) and microwave. the only downside is that the gym is +40rmb per person, but i found the facility to be run-down, dirty, and with some broken machines. overall a very positive experience. we rebooked sungold hotel again after we return from our trip to jiuzhaigou (九寨沟)!

Highly recommended for couples/family/business travellers to book this stay when they are over at ChengDu! Location right at TaiKooLi which is near the shopping streets and at the same building they even have Lawson and a local Minimart!! Perfect. Cleaning was done quick and fast. Maintenance of the stay was perfect and very new. Super nice view from the rooms. The owners were both very kind and helpful. They were able to recommend me good food there too. Very accommodating and friendly. Definitely would recommend it to everyone and will be back to book with them again!

Excellent Stay for Families Visiting Chengdu This was our first family trip to Chengdu and our first visit to China, and we had a wonderful stay at this apartment. We were travelling as a family of four, including an elderly family member, and the apartment suited our needs perfectly. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom layout provided plenty of space and privacy for everyone. The beds were soft and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, the blackout curtains were effective, and the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. After long days of exploring Chengdu, it was always a pleasure to return to the apartment and relax. We were able to recharge and enjoy a good night’s sleep every evening. The location was another major highlight. It is conveniently located near IFS, Taikoo Li, and the metro station, making it easy to get around the city. There are also many restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and pharmacies within walking distance. We especially enjoyed having access to authentic local food nearby without needing to travel far. The staff were incredibly friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. They promptly addressed my concerns before our departure and provided useful guidance during our time in Chengdu. Don’t judge a book by its cover. While the exterior may appear modest, the apartment itself exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, convenience, and value. We would definitely recommend this property to families and travellers visiting Chengdu and would happily stay here again on our next trip.

I highly recommend Mercure Chengdu Chunxi. The entire staff is incredibly warm and friendly, making for an exceptional service experience. The front desk attendant was gentle and kind, genuinely sincere and polite. Not only did they swiftly handle check-in and check-out, but they also thoughtfully planned out sightseeing routes, recommended local eateries and attractions, and patiently answered all my travel questions. During my stay, they proactively brought thoughtful small gifts and fresh fruit. They also went above and beyond to help with requests like luggage assistance and late check-out. The staff consistently paid attention to detail, providing enthusiastic service without being perfunctory. The whole experience felt incredibly comfortable and welcoming, with no sense of detachment. The value for money is outstanding; it's the perfect place to stay when visiting Chengdu.

Our stay at this hotel in the heart of Taotuo was truly exceptional, especially as it is a popular choice among Thai travelers. The room was spotless and well-stocked with everything we needed, and we even had the pleasure of meeting a friend during our stay. The location is unbeatable (near the ifs and easy for taking bus to airport), with famous local food just steps away, and the facilities overall are great. While we noticed the bathroom curtain doesn't block water perfectly, leading to some splashes on the floor, it was a minor detail in an otherwise wonderful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We will definitely be staying here again!

The pictures from this place are well taken! The building is quite in need of renovation and the lifts don't look in the best shape at all. In our bedroom, the shower was leaking both from the shower head and from the tiles through the toilet and so was the air-conditioning - it kept dripping water in the middle of the room all night long. For the washing /drying machine theres only one of each, so it's constantly busy; I've used once and my clothes were taken off from the washer while someone else got their clothes to wash and dry. So far in my experience the hotel staff would take care of ”moving the queue” during the night and get the drying done for you/ moving clothes to dry/ removing from dryer but in the morning my clothes were back in the washing machine, still wet. Breakfast was ok. The bed was comfortable. The mini room is actually tiny and there's not a single shelf where you can put your stuff: we had two small backpacks and didn't manage so if you have luggage don't book this room. The view from the rooftop was actually amazing and the location was also super! So this isn't a horrible place but improvement can be made :)

My stay at the Chengdu Lynn International Hotel truly exceeded my expectations. I originally booked it for its convenient location near IFS and Taikoo Li, but from the moment I stepped into the lobby, the experience was far better than I anticipated. First, what impressed me most was the environment and ambiance. The hotel's exterior is modern and simple, but the interior cleverly incorporates elements of Shu culture. The public areas are adorned with panda plushies and various art pieces, creating a quiet yet stylish atmosphere. Our room, located on a non-smoking floor, was spacious and bright. The bedding was soft and dry, the curtains provided excellent blackout, and the soundproofing was very effective. I have to specifically praise the staff's service. From the front desk to the room attendants, everyone greeted us with a smile and was eager to help. Their genuine and unforced enthusiasm made us feel very comfortable. The biggest bonus of this stay was the complimentary lacquer fan making activity offered by the hotel. In the afternoon, a teacher in the lobby patiently guided the children in mixing lacquer and painting fan surfaces. I initially thought it would be a casual activity, but the finished products turned out to be surprisingly elegant and traditional. Once dry, they carried a subtle lacquer scent, making for a unique souvenir and a perfect cooling accessory for subsequent days of sightseeing – fanning ourselves with our handmade fans while strolling through Taikoo Li definitely got us some admiring glances. Equally heartwarming was the complimentary afternoon tea upon check-in. It was peak summer, and after a full day of sightseeing, we were hot. Returning to the hotel, we enjoyed afternoon tea and pastries, complete with chilled 'Bingfen' (ice jelly) and 'Guilinggao' (herbal jelly) along with thoughtful toppings. The hotel's attentiveness truly earned a perfect score from me. Finally, the location is absolutely 'top-notch.' An 8-minute walk to the left leads directly to IFS, with that famous climbing panda practically at your doorstep.

We had a wonderful stay at Aura Park, Rhombus Chengdu. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The bed linens and towels were clean, and we especially loved the generous layout, which included a bar area and a huge bathroom. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of both Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li metro stations, making it easy to explore the city. There are also plenty of great food options nearby, many of which are open late into the night. The hotel staff were warm, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Chengdu. Highly recommended!

Please excuse the messy room; after a five-day stay, it hadn't been cleaned. (It was my own laziness in not requesting cleaning, not the hotel's fault.) Pros: It's a 6-minute walk to Chunxi Road subway station, and across the overpass is the bustling outer edge of the Chunxi Road commercial area, offering plenty of shopping. Right downstairs is a local Hongqi chain convenience store, making shopping convenient and prices normal. Across from the hotel, there's a popular hotpot restaurant, a traditional breakfast shop, and a fruit stand—very convenient. Cons: The room was dim; the shower didn't work well, and the shower space was cramped. The cleanliness was just average, especially during the last two days when I woke up with itchy skin, and I'm not sure why. Overall: Very good value for money, and the front desk was responsive. I would recommend staying here. My suggestion is for them to be a bit more thorough with the cleaning.

The hotel's location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Chunxi Road IFS (with the climbing panda), where you can catch buses to most scenic spots. Shopping and dining are also incredibly convenient. The breakfast and late-night supper offer a great variety of choices, and the seasonal loquats were absolutely delicious. I booked this hotel because I saw they offered a souvenir, but you need to ask the front desk for it. The panda in the souvenir set is incredibly cute, and the mosquito repellent included is very practical for the current weather.
