Wanda Reign Chengdu Reviews

Really nice hotel, enjoyed my stay. Particularly thankful to Concierge Manager, Mark Yang 杨林, who was extremely helpful in providing suggestions on places to visit as well as on some admin / logistical matters like flight check in issues. There was another young gentleman from the concierge team (night shift) i like to thank as well but didnt get his name. Very much appreciate the hospitality shown by the concierge team during my stay! On a side note, the experience with receptionist doing check in probably could be improved. I was facing an issue with my Didi car ride payment from the airport, but she was mainly concerned with obtaining my booking details for the check in.

This was probably the best hotel I have ever been to (and I’ve been to hundreds). The pallette is dark colors that gives the property an aura of ancient luxury even if it is super modern. The check-in is in the reception on the 41st floor, a marvellous space with a mural on one side and a great city view on the other. The staff were super attentive. For example, when they cleaned my room they would notice I drink a lot of the free water so they would leave me an extra bottle or two. In the room there is a massage chair, something that seems popular in Asia but I personally would not use. I also recommend the two restaurants. Both have reasonable prices. The one of the 41st floor is buffet with a wide selection. The one on the fifth floor is chines a la carte menu. I recommend the wantons there. Also wanted the try their tea place in the reception area, as it looked fantastic, but did not managed.

It’s really an eye opening experience. the service is top notched, the room is speechless too. Dyson hair dryer and massage chair, I’m sold. The services by Grace, from the smallest to the most headache matters, they did very well. I will definitely stay in Wanda Reign again. Thank you ❤️

The hotel is very elegant and the staff is polite and professional. Some things can be improved, for example the bar closes early. If a customer wants a drink after 21 he has to order it in the room. The room is not redone in the evening. In a 5-star hotel, the room is always prepared for the night. In the room there is only one bathroom mat for washbasin, shower and bathtub. Having a double sink would have been more comfortable. The large and really comfortable king bed Is a plus. Breakfast was good.

Hotel is a good deal, a bit too much of a triumphal Chinese style, a bit too dark, but overall comfortable, breakfast is better than Niccolo in our opinion

The good things about this hotel are that the staff are friendly and kind, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are comfortable. Unfortunately, the standard of cleaning is extremely poor for a hotel of this price range. In our room, I had to clean food or drink spills left by previous guests off the bedside tables before using them. The carpet in the room and in the corridors had many stains. The bathroom sink was partly blocked and drained slowly, there was dirt in the corners of the bathroom, and it smelled bad in the toilet. There was dust or smoke stains on the ceiling around the air conditioner. Most disgusting of all, I found a large nail clipping from a previous guest on the floor beside the bed. Don’t be fooled by the fancy-looking decorations and good reviews, maybe it was better in the past, but the management of this hotel sets low standards for cleaning and maintenance now. There are many other good hotels in Chengdu for the same price, I strongly suggest you choose another one.

Excellent hotel. Very satisfied during my stay. The staffs are very attentive and helpful. They are ready to give you guidance. Special mention to my butler Eleven who responded promptly to my questions. I will stay again when I visit Chengdu.

The butler Lily is active, thoughtful and helpful. We were very comfortable in the hotel and the hotel is tastefully decorated. We will come again next time

We had such a good time at Wanda Reign even though our stay was only for 1 night. Our room came with a personal butler and our butler Grace was so wonderful and helpful. She took the extra step to help us with our luggage, ordering takeaways and even giving us advice on what local products to get! The room is very grand and came with amazing views. It was so ideally situated and we could taxi everywhere within short distance. We will definitely come back to Wanda again for our future stays :)

Stayed here for the 2nd time this year. Arguably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Room, services, and amenities are all absolutely top tier. Would especially want to thank Grace, who was extremely helpful, and ensured my stay exceeded all expectations. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is one of the best hotel I stayed. I strongly recommended. We poured ink into the carpet and they only charged 200 yuan. And they have the best qualified amenities. I will come again when I back to Chengdu.
