XISHU GARDEN INN

I enjoyed staying here and it was relatively clean and neat. I ended up doing my laundry and they provide laundry things at least for the first wash. No real complaints but I would’ve liked the breakfast to be a bit more comprehensive.

This was my second time staying at XiShu Garden Inn! It was just as great as the first time. My friend and I got a room with two full beds and the breakfast service. The room was clean everyday and the air conditioning was welcoming after our busy days! There is an adorable patio outside, too! We ate breakfast out there and also relaxed in the evening outside. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming. One day we wanted to go to the LeShan Buddha and the hotel staff were kind enough to organize the trip for us. We paid them upfront and they found a driver/tour guide for us. It was a great addition to our trip! I would absolutely recommend this hotel again.. especially since I stayed here twice!

The Hotel is very nice, very clean and has some charm with the inner garden in the lobby. It’s also very convenient, you’re close to a famous monastery and the neighborhood around is really pretty, perfect to visit as tourists. Everything was super clean, I had been upgraded and the room was big with everything needed. The staff spoke very well English and helped me a lot to solve my problems. The hotel also has a restaurant with good food, very convenient if you’re too tired to go out. Finally breakfast is simple with Chinese and some western options, but the coffees are really good!

If you want to experience the true charm of a traditional local inn, this is the perfect place. The architectural style is stunning and gives you a real sense of the local culture, yet the rooms are incredibly clean and well-maintained. A major highlight for our group was the bathroom setup—having a proper Western-style sitting toilet made the trip completely stress-free for the elders in our family. The staff members were brilliant; they speak wonderful English, making everything from check-in to asking for local advice effortless. Their warm, localized care made us feel right at home, and the cute little garden is a wonderful touch. I would gladly book this hotel again!

This hotel has some hostel rooms, male female separate. Compared to Shanghai hostels this is totally upscale. Pictures attached. Plus: pleanty wardrobes in room. It can happen that you are the only one using the room so it’s practically private. Bathroom is one per room.

The hotel was super clean and they thought about every detail to make our stay enjoyable. The girls at the reception were very helpful about information and answer all your questions in perfect English. The breakfast was great and varied. They even make a wonderful espresso. Considering cleanliness, nice and helpful staff and very good location it is way much worth the money. I highly recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you very much for making our stay great in Chengdu.

Overall, my stay was pleasant. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and price-quality ok. The location was decent, but if I were to visit again, I would probably choose somewhere closer to a metro station or in the Taikoo Li area, which has a much livelier atmosphere. One downside was that the property has many birds, and their chirping owas quite loud. I could hear them clearly from my room, which made it difficult to get a good night’s rest. Aside from that, everything was fine, and I had a good stay overall.
