66PANDA（Panda Base）

We choosed this place because of close location to Chengdu Panda Base, and the price. So, for this money we got 2 bedroom apartment with own kitchen and bathroom (Western style toilet is available, just check the picture of booked room). The host was very kind and contacted us in advance. There were air conditioners in each room (worked well, and cooled down roomswell during 36 degrees outside). Buy I need to tell that the biggest bed was not well, there was no support in the middle, therefore mattress shape was something like U shape. Hope the host will fix it. Actually, I expected to meet the room even in worse condition (after reading the feedbacks), but it was mich better. Of course, many depends on your mood in general. So, therefore, just think in more positive way, and then your stay will be even much better than you expected!

Basically you get what you pay for. The apartment is set in a residential block of flats and the address is NOT what is advertised on the front page and is then not easy to find at all when the owner sends it to you. For the panda research it's just a short walk away and is ideal for that which I could not fault. Lots of little shops close by and eating places all come out at night just around the corner. Take your own towel as I never knew disposable bath towels existed, basically a large toilet paper sheet to dry you. The bathroom and kitchen both need a good scrub with disinfectant. The photos must have been taken a few years ago, but everything in the apartment worked. The beds were big and comfy.

It's a 7-10min walk to the Panda Base. The hotel is inside an apartment building. Cute panda-themed decor. However there was no heating and no hot water (I wasnt able to find a switch for it). Big bed for 1 person. You can take a bus (2hr busride) from the airport (TFU) to somewhere near Panda Base, the didi taxi to this hotel.

Walking distance to panda base. Think of this like you would an air bnb it's a normal Chinese apartment converted to two sleeping rooms ( one bed in the ' lounge ' ) , cute panda decoration . Note kitchen pans rusty and if its an issue to you the toilet is squat toilet with a lid for when you shower. Smart lock on the door, communicate with the host via wechat . Host is helpful.
