"the internet connection is really good and the room is bigger than the ones you normally find in HK. Except if you go for the real expensive hotels. A very negative aspect is the location though. Far away from the next metro station. Don't follow the instructions you get from the worthless Google map. These ****** in Google will make your life a misery. The best way is the following (as also shown in the attached photos): -take exit A -turn right towards the footbridge -head straight to the stairs. Notice, for the exit there are no electric escalators! -turn left until you arrive at the next traffic lights - turn right and after the second traffic light the hotel is on your left hand side. Another useful tip, if you need to go to the airport , you're better off to take the bus. A22 or A29. Is closer to the hotel."

"Mong Kok's travel ceiling! Royal Plaza Hotel made my entire Hong Kong trip comfortable and healing. I stayed at the Royal Plaza Hotel throughout my self-guided trip to Hong Kong, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. I simply must write a detailed review. The room was cleaned daily by dedicated staff, with impeccable hygiene control. The entire room was spotless, clean, and comfortable. The butler service was highly responsive and efficient; when I needed cutlery, it was delivered to the room instantly, which was very thoughtful. Every evening, I like to relax with a bath. The bathtub was clean and odorless. After a tiring day of travel, a hot bath washed away all the fatigue. Downstairs, there's direct access to Mui Wah Bing Tang, offering authentic Hong Kong-style food readily available and delicious, making dining out extremely convenient. What surprised me most was the location: the hotel is seamlessly connected to Grand Century Place, and Mong Kok East Station is right outside. Taking the MTR to major popular spots like Ocean Park, Disneyland, Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Causeway Bay was a breeze, with no need to worry about transportation. In Hong Kong, where space is at a premium, the rooms are spacious and wide, providing maximum comfort, suitable for both family trips and solo travelers. Two small, heartwarming suggestions for the hotel's improvement: Currently, the cutlery and bowls provided are a bit small. It was slightly inconvenient when I occasionally cooked Samyang Buldak noodles at night. If larger instant noodle bowls could be added, it would better cater to the needs of young guests. Also, if a stainless steel caddy could be installed on the bathtub, allowing for a glass of wine, aromatherapy, or a book while bathing, the ambiance and experience would be even better. Overall, it's impeccable. Hardware, service, and location are all top-notch. I will prioritize choosing this hotel again for my next trip to Hong Kong. I sincerely recommend it to all visitors to Hong Kong!"

"Before booking, I was hesitant due to multiple reviews mentioning discriminatory treatment from the hotel staff. However, upon arrival, I found the staff to be very dedicated and proactive in greeting guests and offering assistance. What's even better is the hotel's excellent location. The main entrance is right by Tsim Sha Tsui MTR Station Exit L3, and Exit F is just a minute's walk away. The Peninsula Hotel is directly opposite the main entrance. Turning right leads to numerous dining options, while a three-to-five-minute walk to the left takes you to the Avenue of Stars (Victoria Harbour Goddess statue), K11, and Harbour City, making shopping very convenient. Of course, the hotel's decor is a bit dated, and the room types can't compare to those on the mainland, with smaller room sizes. The cleanliness and soundproofing are just average, but I didn't experience any of the itching mentioned in online reviews. Overall, it's a satisfactory hotel."

"Although the room was small, it was clean and tidy. You can always trust an international chain. There were also many international guests checking in. However, to be close to my children, they assigned me a room with red-tinted windows. It felt a bit unusual at first, but it was certainly a unique experience. This room even offered a bit of a sea view. The hotel's location is quite convenient, close to both Sheung Wan and Central. It's a shame it rained, otherwise, we could have walked back from Victoria Peak. There are also plenty of dining options downstairs, including a Liu An Ju where you can experience old-style Hong Kong dim sum. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay!"

"I booked a twin room for early July, for a stay in August. It wasn't one of the newly renovated rooms, and they assigned me room 1238. After seeing many recommendations on Xiaohongshu, I somewhat regretted not booking a new renovation, as I was worried about fleas or bugs at night. I also have somewhat sensitive skin, but after checking in, I felt okay; the bedding seemed newly changed and was quite dry. I'm not a fan of carpets, and to be honest, the room wasn't very big. Having stayed in hotels both domestically and internationally, I truly feel that hotels in Hong Kong are extremely cramped. I visited Hong Kong once fifteen years ago, so I thought a price of over 500 for a central location was quite cheap, given the convenient area. As for the downsides, the duvet and pillows were a bit noisy (I put a cotton and linen t-shirt on the pillow and it felt okay), and the showerhead couldn't be detached. The hot and cold water also needed separate adjustments. My biggest dislike was how old the in-room kettle was; I really didn't dare to use it. Hong Kong has super strong air conditioning everywhere, and since I always carry a thermos when going back to the room or heading out, I went to the restaurant next to the front desk twice a day to ask for hot water. The restaurant staff were so kind; I hope the hotel praises them. Downstairs, I recommend the almond meringue at Lin Kee Ice Cafe. Across the street is a large Muji, and there's another Lin Kee restaurant on the second floor. Three of us had a meal there that cost over 900 HKD; the tea was very fragrant, but the food was just average. Overall, the hotel is decent!"

"This place offers incredible value for money. It's a lodging community that's been converted from a temporary hospital, so all the facilities are brand new and spotless. Getting around is super convenient, with a direct bus from the Avenue of Stars. Staying here gave me a unique perspective on the city. Just a heads-up: there's a slight electrical leakage when using an adapter with the outlets. It's safer to plug in your device first, then turn on the power. Overall, a really good stay!"

"Location is great for a first time tourist, it's only 2 mins from the nearest metro exit. Additionally most of the Kowloon side museums and waterfront is within 15 minute walk. The rooms are small and don't match the photos, however as I've added the floor map you can see everyone room is a different size so, layouts will vary The shower is good, bed comfy, the only issue is the one plugs point is built-in to the desk and no where near where you would want one. The room has a safe under the bed but didn't discover till my last day. They have a cold water dispenser on every floor, which is much better than other hk hotels I've stayed at."
