Caption By Hyatt Chattanooga Downtown

This brand new Hyatt Caption is truly a wonderful addition to the Hyatt line of hotels. We usually stay close to main highways when crossing the country but decided to try downtown Chattanooga since it was so close. What a pleasant surprise to get a sleek new boutique hotel is such a great location in a cute historic downtown area. with lots of sites , shopping and restaurants! The hotel is mid century modern sleek - direct access from a stunning lobby to a full service restaurant, bar and barista-staffed coffee shop. Rooms are very modern with terrific tech conveniences, awesome bed linens & pillows , a huge dbl sink bathroom , separate toilet and make-up counter areas with proper mirror(yay!!). Globalist privileges duly honored and award/point stays include valet parking. A stunning rooftop lounge pool area with indoor/outdoor bar/restaurant and oversized chaise lounges for relaxing. Staff is so attentive and have a genuine sense of pride about their hotel. A total pleasure -we only wished we had more time to spend at the Hyatt Caption and explore more of downtown Chattanooga. This hotel is definitely on our "return" list!

This is a new (and only) Hyatt property in Chattanooga. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. My whole experience was top-notch from the beginning to the end. The check-in was quick and efficient with a smile and great customer service, thanks to Haylee. The room was smaller than expected, but it was well designed and more than fit my needs. The rooftop was a cool vibe with some good drinks and a great backdrop. Now, the Nomia restaurant and bar served some delectable treats and cool cocktails. Chef D put his magic touch on the steak and eggs. I didn't get a chance to visit the on-site coffee shop, but there is always the next visit. Kudos to the property and, most importantly, the staff. I will be sure to start here again on my next little getaway.

Terrific, kind, thoughtful staff!! Clean, new rooms! Roof top bar has an excellent view! Bar staff were happy and helpful, checkin staff was cheerful and helpful, door man was awesome!! Always there to answer questions, and greet us going in and out and making sure our stay was perfect! Highly recommend!

Great roof top bar with great views and food! Great rooms, amenities, and decor! The hotel staff was awesome and it is close proximity to breweries and great food options! All around a great spot if you're visiting Chatanooga

New construction so everything looks clean. Good roof bar service but the pool is tiny. Room is compact so don't expect to spend much time in your room.

I am convinced this place is going to be the center of the Southside neighborhood of Chattanooga. Caption by Hyatt is the newest hotel in the area and the coolest hotel in Chattanooga! This is the hottest place in town! Caption has everything you need for breakfast lunch and dinner from what I'm seeing let alone an amazing place to stay! The restaurant Nomia Modern Kitchen was not on this quick stop but I REALLY want to try this place! I did peek at the menu and it looks incredible! Also the HOTTEST rooftop bar in all of Chattanooga is on the top floor, and the view and vibe is incredible! Let's talk coffee! We came here for the coffee!! This place is beautiful and there are plenty of nice areas to sit and sip. And Em is the nicest barista! I am not a flavored or iced coffee drinker. Just black please. Today I simply asked Em to make something up and experiment, "Can make me something special" I asked. What she created blew my mind and made me a flavored coffee BELIEVER! Don't ask me all of the ingredients, but it involved lavender and cold foam with toasted coconut on top. I've never had lavender so when she mentioned It, I fully expected to be weirded out. This was the most delicious creation I have ever tasted!! I'm still talking about it! This coffee shop is basically in the lobby of a hotel but you need to seek this place out!! I will put this experience up against any place out there! Super creative barista, chic and trendy vibe! Take your coffee up to one of the best views in Chattanooga up on that amazing rooftop! GET HERE for Em's great coffee magic!!

Great experience. Hotel was clean and well serviced. Staff were over and above attendant. Great stay-cation getaway!

We recently stayed 1 night for an impromptu birthday celebration for my daughter. She and a friend were excited to “feel fancy” and enjoy the rooftop pool. After a few dips in the pool, both of their hair turned very green. Not having experienced this from any other pool, they were both upset. We alerted management the next morning. We tried swimmer’s shampoo, baking soda, and even the ketchup home remedy and nothing was working. We contacted management again who offered to reimburse a salon visit. We went to salon where she did her best but still remnants of green had to be trimmed off. To confirm agreement, we reached out again and management informed us it was against policy and would not be honoring their offer. Just a warning to other fair haired folks. Don’t get your wet!

Beware the hotel has a night club with music until after 1:00am. If you want sleep, pick a different hotel. It was like the DJ was in the room with me.
