Francis Marion Hotel
"This classic hotel is right in the middle of town - perfect walking distance to multiple points of interest including Ft.Sumpter Ferry , the Aquarium , Sunset cruise , walking tours , the Charleston Market and scads of great restaurants . Our room was comfortable and clean with complementary water bottles replenished daily in addition to the usual tea/coffee . The front desk and valet service were among the best I've ever had- prompt , courteous and happy to serve ( a rarity these days for sure ) . Minor complaint - the bathroom in our room ( a standard double ) was on the small side - but the shower pressure was great and towels replenished daily . I would absolutely stay here again ."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charleston Riverview
"Room was larger than expected n delight rest"
Hotel Emeline
"Hotel great was great other than our room - room 135, unbelievable noise. One wall is shared with back of a bar. Constant noises from bottles being moved, jarred, barstools scraping across the floor. Outside/courtyard wall has restaurant and one evening, a jazz band (you can’t make this stuff up) which was all of four feet from our window."
Indigo Inn
"Very recommended!"
DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston Convention Center
"don't come! Don't come! I found a big bug in the bed at the first party. I didn't take it seriously. I thought that we brought it from the outside. The result was constantly new at night! The staff said that it was completely unacceptable to climb up in the air conditioning pipe! I couldn't sleep all night. It was terrible."
Home2 Suites by Hilton Charleston West Ashley
"Spent one night at this location driving back from Florida to Virginia: . Well maintained and clean hotel. . The breakfast service was great: they even make waffle to order for you and many options to choose from. . Easy check-in & check-out. . Location is good: close to everything. . The room was clean but was missing some trash bags other than all was good. Will stay here again."
Mills House Charleston, Curio Collection by Hilton
"The room is very clean. There is a cafe on the first floor of the hotel. The coffee is delicious. There is a very delicious restaurant called Husk next to the hotel."

"Great amenities , great family atmosphere, comfortable rooms, bathroom very clean, breakfast was wonderful, located in a great area. Coffee shops and other eateries nearby. "
SpringHill Suites Charleston Riverview
"The suite is large, with a pleasant view from the window. Downstairs is the yacht marina, and the view outside the window is beautiful and makes you feel great! The breakfast here is also rich and varied, and the fruits such as oranges, bananas, and apples are all fresh and delicious!"

Great Downtown Charleston Location!
Holiday Inn Express CHARLESTON US HWY 17 & I-526 by IHG
"Excellent hotel stay with family located in a very convenient location to explore Charleston downtown and nearby Folly Beach. Hotel staff were friendly, room came clean, and breakfast was served nice and warm to enjoy each morning during our vacation. Shower/tub area of the bathroom could always be upgraded as ours felt a little faulty at times, but well aware that this hotel is an older building that's been renovated recently. For the price we paid for our short weekend stay, it was perfect for our needs and made our stay very comfortable in Charleston."
The Lowline Hotel, Part of Jdv by Hyatt
"The hotel made an error on the price and it was listed (booked and confirmed) as $50/night with breakfast. On check in hotel admitted mistake. Best they could do was $135 a night and 50% off one breakfast for our family. No offer to cover parking. Did not come freshen room during our stay. Supposed to get points but three days later and I haven’t seen them."

The Cooper
"As longtime Charleston residents (16 years), we’ve enjoyed many fine restaurants and hotels here, but our evening at The Cooper Hotel and The Crossing on July 3, 2026, stood out for its seamless, genuine hospitality and quiet competence. What began as a casual drive along the Battery to scout July 4th fireworks viewing spots became a thoroughly relaxing and memorable experience. Our visit started smoothly when a friendly young man greeted us at the driveway and guided us into the valet courtyard. Dylan, a valet, appeared immediately as I stepped out, knew just how to handle our Tesla (politely asking for the key card I’d forgotten), and set a tone of effortless care from the first moment. As we approached the entrance, a smiling young man held the door for us with genuine enthusiasm and welcomed us warmly, making us feel like honored guests right from the start. The front desk staff greeted us just as graciously and directed us up the grand twisting staircase to the light and airy bar lounge. Inside the lounge, Max, a server, noticed us standing between the bar and seating area and stepped in as a gracious guide. He listened to our story—no reservation, not hotel guests, just exploring—and warmly explained our options. When we decided to stay for dinner, he escorted us to the hostess team. Carson and her colleagues seated us promptly and cheerfully in the beautiful Captain’s Lounge. Remarkably, we went from the driveway to our table in under ten minutes. Madelyn, our server, provided excellent, attentive service—present when needed, never intrusive. She brought crisp filtered water right away and ensured everything was just right throughout the meal. Sommelier Michael was engaging and knowledgeable; after a friendly conversation, he selected a lovely glass of champagne for me and crafted a beautiful mocktail for my wife. We enjoyed the Htipiti appetizer, followed by the Heritage Chicken and King Salmon—both very well prepared. A thoughtful food runner named Ina paused with genuine concern when she noticed my unusually peaceful expression. She came over to inquire if everything was to my liking. I explained that the combination of the elegant setting and the staff’s competence had allowed me, for the first time in a long while, to fully relax and let go of any sense of needing to manage the evening. Her visible delight in my comfort was one of the most touching moments of the night. Restaurant Manager Ricardo Ornelas stopped by for a warm, personable chat, and we both appreciated the refined yet welcoming atmosphere that felt reminiscent of the French Riviera (Nice or Villefranche-sur-Mer for me). We also had a brief, pleasant conversation with general concierge Jordan Lemieux, whose authentically pleasant demeanor reflects the hotel’s thoughtful approach to guest experience. A special highlight was seeing Darrel at the bar. We know him from another favorite local restaurant, and it was actually his recommendation that first sparked our int"
Residence Inn Charleston Riverview
Harborside at Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina
"Sea view room, nice view, the equipment is a little old, but it can be used normally, the bedding is very high-end, free parking, not far from the bridge, strongly recommend everyone to go to the bridge, very close to the aircraft carrier park, 5 minutes walk, there is a free shuttle bus to the ancient town, in short, a good hotel"
Hampton Inn & Suites Charleston/West Ashley
"The Hotel was very convenient. Right off Savannah Hwy. close to anything you would need. We were there to buy a car and a huge number of dealerships were just down the street. Far enough off that major thoroughfare to be quite though. Front clerk yliana got us checked in fast, explained everything to us and followed up on our stay. Breakfast area was well stocked and food was great. The eggs were excellent and didn’t seem like normal powdered affair. Room was very clean and large. We had a king suite with kitchen. Sofa was comfortable and not too much worn. Shower was large and extremely clean. Another excellent Hampton stay for us."
