We stayed for 3 nights in three twin rooms, paying over 900 RMB per room. Here's my objective review of our stay.
This is an older star-rated hotel. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, it's very clean, and the service is good. There's a free kids' play area on the 2nd floor, so overall, the living experience was decent. However:
1. Although it appears to be in the city center, it's a 15-20 minute walk to the main commercial street and shopping area, and it's not close to the subway station either. There are no shared e-bike stands on the hotel's side of the street; you have to go to the opposite side. Taxis for just over 1 km – not too far, not too close.
2. There's no complimentary laundry service or washing machine; laundry comes at an additional cost.
3. At the hotel's Fuzhong Chinese restaurant on the second floor, we ordered an 898 RMB set meal, and they actually missed serving one of the dishes. If we hadn't checked the menu ourselves, no one would have noticed. Later, when we requested to cancel the dish and get a refund, they understated the price of that dish. If we hadn't meticulously double-checked again, we would have been under-refunded.
4. The most, most, *most* upsetting thing was that the housekeeping staff wasn't thorough when cleaning the room. They accidentally collected our child's large white doll along with the bedding. Our child cried for two or three hours after discovering it was missing that night. Fortunately, it was found in the linen room the next morning.
5. During the May Day holiday, a room costing over 900 RMB per night did not include breakfast.
