Monastery Garden Bistro & Rooms

My husband and I recently spent two nights in Cesky Krumlov. I decided to book Monastery Garden Bistro and Rooms after reading all of the glowing reviews of the place. I'm so glad I heeded the reviews, as I agree that the accolades are well earned. Although we had some confusion finding the right parking lot to be close to the property, once we checked in, we were able to get situated quickly. The staff at Monastery Garden were uniformly friendly, and we felt right at home. I especially liked the honesty bar, which was a nice touch after a day of sightseeing. We stayed in Room Six, which is a premium suite. It was marvelous! The bed was a king with a very comfortable mattress. That alone would have been enough for me to be really happy! The room was beautifully decorated, with chic designer touches and a really cool armoire that had a door opening into the huge bathroom with a clawfoot tub! The room also had two televisions. One was mounted on the wall by the huge sofa, and the other was hidden in a beautiful wooden cabinet. I think my favorite part of the stay was the two breakfasts we enjoyed. They were delicious, and yet almost too beautiful to eat. We stayed in four hotels on this trip, and Monastery Garden was the one that stood out for being a great place to get to know people. It really has a lovely homey atmosphere to go with the comfortable rooms. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone staying in Cesky Krumlov.

Fabulous oldie type hotel, loads of character conveniently positioned in Prague central to castle, Jewish Quarter , bridges and all sites and river. Staff at hotel very friendly, room comfortable and more than satisfactory clean and tidy , loads of character at the hotel. Breakfast was excellent but only a small dining area and could be busy . Easy to get around from there

I cannot emphasize enough our appreciation for the exceptional experience we had at the Monastery Garden Bistro and Rooms in C. Krumlov. We were gifted with three treasures...the perfect accommodations, the well deserved World Heritage designation for the village, and Kamilla our hostess who was an absolute joy to have as our coach to enjoy the opportunity available. This truly was a first class and memorable stay...we thank you!

Wonderful hosts in a beautifully decorated home-away-from-home. The homemade breakfasts are a must-try. Lots of small thoughtful touches in the rooms. Would definitely reccommend.

We loved how the old town hotel had been renovated to be so comfortable for us today. As expected, we had to park away from the hotel but they allowed us to drop off our luggage by the hotel for a fee. There was not an elevator but I would stay there again if we go back. The town was lovely and worth a visit.

This was one of our favorite places to stay while in Central Europe. It is the most charming and unique experiences we have ever had. The staff are warming and helpful and fun to visit with. They will take care of you! We loved it and would definitely come again. Thanks so much for making our stay so special

The property was perfect. Perfect location, beautiful town, wonderful breakfast, and beautiful room. The hosts were so helpful. 10 out of 10. We will be coming back. Message the host about parking, it is a short walk away, and she will provide the best recommendation. -Kellen and Brittany

I absolutely loved staying here, it has been one of my favourite places to stay in Europe. The room was authentic Czech however with all the right modern comforts to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The bed was very comfortable with quality linen and pillows, good air con, large room and plenty of storage. The location was perfect, quiet yet close to all the attractions and plenty of amazing restaurants and cocktail/wine bars close by. We absolutely loved the convenience and generosity of the kitchen with free cold filtered water and an honesty system to help yourself to wine and snacks. We felt so relaxed like we were at home. I’m not much of a breakfast person, however I read the breakfast was good and we’re so glad we had it - amazing - 10/10 and I’m super fussy. Don’t pass up the pancakes/crepes and my husband raved about the eggs Benedict 😋 It is a small family run business and honestly they have thought of everything. We are fortunate to have travelled a fair bit and this place has certainly gone out of their way to ensure your stay is perfect, we loved it. Just be aware - if you have large suitcases it is a pain to walk with them over the cobbled walkways to any of the accommodation in Cesky Krumlov. Make sure you organise a cab or driver fro the bus or train.
