The Bounty

On arrival we found the towels completed covered in bugs, we then saw bugs on our bed sheets and other areas of the room, bugs had gotten into our backpack. We texted the manager Miguel at 7:30 who said he would come right away, he arrived at 8:30 and told us the room had been fumigated prior to our arrival but he would do a deep clean and fumigation right now. We were then asked to take our bags and sit in the outdoor seating area. Miguel told us he would move us to the Bounty Beach Club in the am but we would have to stay in that room overnight due to no availability at the Beach club, he promised us a meal and unlimited drinks while staying in the Beach club. Cleaning and fumigation took a couple hours and we didn’t get back into our room until 11:15pm. When bringing us back to our room Miguel then said we’d have to stay in that room for the remainder of our trip due to no availability at the beach club but promised us we could have all of our food and beverages comped, he told us he would speak to the manager of the Beach club and have everything sorted for us to spend the day there. They fumigated the room again the next day. Manager on duty at the beach club informed us that Miguel had made promises to appease us in the moment that they could not afford due to it being a new business, they informed us they could only comp 1 food and 1 drink each which was not what was promised. Multiple promises were made to try to appease us that they later refused to accommodate.

The room was nice...no super frills, but clean, and in a great location, right in the center of everything. The pool was not on the premises, but had the ability to get to and utilize the pool in an off site place. The Club where the pool was located was very nice. The Staff Miguel and Lexi were amazing...very helpful in recommending places and answering questions, I would definately go back.

Such a wonderful place to stay! Miguel at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating. Everything is within walking distance and the beach is just across the road. Will definitely be back. Thanks for having me!

The property was significantly misrepresented at the time of booking and resulted in our inability to stay at the hotel. It was advertised that the hotel was located on the same property as the bars, swimming pool, and private beach. Upon arrival, we discovered that these amenities were actually located at an entirely separate location, accessible only by crossing via a ferry. This information was not disclosed in the listing and is a clear example of false and misleading advertising. Additionally, upon arrival at the hotel, we were informed by hotel staff that the property is adults-only. This restriction was never stated on the website at the time of booking, nor was it mentioned anywhere in the hotel description. In fact, the hotel was described as “family friendly”. We were traveling with a small child and were allowed to check-in but were then explicitly told that our child was not to use the beach, pool or even the restaurant, leaving us with no option but to find alternative accommodation. Then the hotel refused to reimburse us.

After booking with this hotel I received a message letting me know their pool was closed, the only reason I booked this place was for the pool. When I try to cancel, two hours after the booking, they never responded and still charged me for the whole 5 nights. So disappointed.

Staff were very friendly and had access to the bounty bar beach which was a nice surprise. Is located next to the karaoke bar which goes until about midnight and is very loud.

The room was clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a perfect location right in the middle of several restaurants. However, the many of the amenities listed were for their newer facility.

Great location and very friendly staff. Cleanliness, however, is not their virtue. Outdated amenities and appliances should get a lot of attention.

We loved our stay at the Bounty. The hotel is super convenient to everything on the island and the bike rentals were great! The beach view was great, but it’s not a beach to hang out on. The coffee shop across the way has most of the waterfront access, but we did like the coffee house a lot! There is a kayak car
