The front desk service of the hotel was very friendly, took the initiative to remind and help us book the most popular restaurant nearby, which tasted good. The room was clean and tidy, the breakfast was very rich and delicious, it should be the best hotel in the 16 Lake area. If you drive or charter a car, it is more suitable, because walking to the park will have a little road to go. Overall, I am still very satisfied with the choice of this hotel, recommended!

When I went to Plitvice, there was no elevator in the pula dormitory the day before, and I was a little disappointed with the expectation of parking and breakfast. I saw Hotel Pil and it was very relaxed. It was nice to have a large parking lot and elevator in a pretty building that was just built. After check-in, I entered the room and a large room with a large port, indoor shoes and a rich outlet. Totally 120% satisfied!! Checked in to the holiday resort. After checking in and setting up our camper, we went to find some water, and seen signs at the facility to say the water could not be drank. Went to the reception to ask about where we can get drinking water (basic necessity that you pay for at campsite) to be told we would have to go to the shop next door as there was an issue with their water. When we questioned them about this we were then told well you can drink it but at your own risk as it’s got bacteria in it. The water at the shop next door was only 500ml bottles at a cost of 1 euro each. (This adds up when you need drinking water yourself and you have a dog!) We informed reception we should have been told about the water situation prior to checking in as we wouldn’t have checked in and stayed at the campsite as we weren’t happy to pay £66.12 euros a night when they don’t provide the basics. Reception offered no apology, saying it wasn’t their fault and still wanted to charge full price despite not providing the basics that we payed for. We wouldn’t stay again. Reception staff were not helpful and actually quite rude. We have stayed at much nicer campsites for less than 66 euros a night with nicer facilities. To top it off we were woken up at 5am by people chatting outside our camping spot. Shower facilities weren’t the best, with a wait for a shower. We have stayed at 6 campsites so far this trip and unfortunately this has got to the the worst one, yet the most expensive.

The location of the hotel is very convenient and the facilities are complete. Only the staff service was very poor. At 1:30 on the day of check-in, the hotel staff insisted on the room at 2 o'clock. After discussing it, they decided to store their luggage in the lobby. After waiting for the lake, they ate the room. The hotel staff coldly handed over a big key to ask us to carry our luggage to the lobby groceries room to store luggage. , did not give details of the boudoir later. The only praise is that the hotel dinner is good.

We just recently stayed at the Pearl of Plitvice. Amazing location with lovely staff. We were there for 2 nights while visiting the Plitvice NP. It’s located within walking distance to Entrance 3 of the park, which is so much more convenient than main gate; however, you must have your hard tickets or on your phone. They don’t take vouchers. This location is about 25 minutes from the main gate, but it is in such a nice area for bike riding, hiking or just enjoying the peace and quiet. The room was modern and really nice. For Americans, the breakfast is more European, but a nice display. Also recommend stopping at the market before heading up the hill for snacks and drinks, the minibar is a little pricey.

We stayed at the Lyra Hotel near Plitvice Lakes National Park in November of 2023. The hotel was very nice with ultra modern rooms that were comfortable and clean. The hotel was in somewhat of an odd location with the nearby village being almost completely abandoned from the war in the 1990’s. The homes and buildings still showed the devastating impact of the war. The village is very close to the Serbian border and many of Croatian residents chose not to move back with Serbia in such close proximity. The hotel was near Plitvice Lakes National Park which is absolutely stunning. The hike down to the lakes is a must and not that difficult. The park is well worth a lengthy visit.
