NH Catania Centro Reviews

The hotel is well located 20 mins walk from the old town square but next to everything. It is in renovation partially so the gym wasn't open and the lobby is diminished. The breakfast although rich and tasty was not replenished and advertised until 12h on sundays but half empty by 10h so it was such a bummer knowing that we paid extra for that. So all in all feels like a 4 stars but still in progress and for the high price we paid we would have expected more.

Clean and safe hotel, spacious room with good spread of breakfast. Walking distance to Etnea (shopping belt), with several restaurants in vicinity. Enjoyed our stay there. Appreciate the staff for helping to arrange a room for us where we do not have to change room as we join our tour group that started with a night stay at this hotel.

The quilt is extremely thick! Very uncomfortable! The soundproofing is particularly bad. I can hear others turning on and off the lights! There is also the sound of flushing water! The shower room is extremely small and different from the picture of the room I booked. This is very important to me and makes me very angry. It is not allowed to deceive guests! And the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner all stink! It seems that it has not been replaced or inspected for a long time!

Very cost-effective! The breakfast is rich in variety and the rooms are clean and tidy. Check-in is fast and convenient. The reception is warm and comfortable. This is a hotel with a great experience that is trustworthy and worth staying in.

I don't recommend it for academic purposes. The wifi is too slow and the front desk is too bad. Don't trust the pictures.

The only NH in Italy that displeased me, while this chain is very good. Tired building, home without more, I was badly served because I did not speak Italian, because any Italian who came to ask for something was served immediately. I didn't like it at all. The room had a dark and dirty decor, very tired. No service offered but in addition you had to pay 3€ for a small bottle of water when it is generally offered free of charge. Noisy as the room overlooked the car traffic street. It was too hot at 26 degrees and the thermostat no longer worked. In short, another rotten room that is passed on to the pigeon tourist from abroad. The breakfast was good but not generous, nothing more compared to other NHs, in addition the table service is noisy, tidying up by throwing fork and plate suddenly making unbearable noises, it starts the day badly. The hotel industry in Catania is the worst in all of Sicily, you really have to think about modernizing, changing the staff whose welcome dates from another era.
