Hotel 139 is a scam. We had booked for three nights (around New Year's) and we could not bare to stay longer than one. We stayed in room 12 and this is what we encountered: 1. Sheets are torn, stains on pillows and blanket. 2.Huge stains on the curtains 3.Dust everywhere 4.Dirty paper-thin walls that allow you to hear anyone who passes through the hallways as well as hearing people in the neighbouring rooms (********** at night) 5.Yellow/orange stains on one of the towels 6.Wi-Fi barely works 7.Mold/ mildew on the ceilings in the room and bathroom After having a sleepless first night, we called the reception (at hotel 153 down the street) to explain the condition of the room and to ask if we could either get a refund or change to a different room at hotel 139. They told us we could change. We went to hotel 153 and were greeted with an extremely rude, unhelpful, unapologetic and sarcastic man who gave us the key to a different room (room 5). We went back to hotel 139 only to, again, find even more mold on the ceiling in that room. We took photos of it and returned to hotel 153 to tell the man at the reception. Without saying anything else, he answered "okay, try this one" and gave me another key (to room 7). His reaction made me think it was probably not the first time someone had complained about the conditions of the rooms. After, once again, going back to hotel 139 and finding another filthy room (albeit slightly better than the last two we'd seen), we returned to hotel 153 where we asked if we could book a room at their hotel instead. He told us there were no rooms available. When asked if he could help us get a refund, he stated that the hotel is not in charge of the refunds, but *********** is (which was denied by ***********). Knowing that all of the rooms in hotel 139 would probably be in the same horrible condition and that the guy at the reception was extremely unwilling to help us at all, we were forced to book a room at a different hotel. When looking at other hotels in the area, I found that hotel 153 was not fully booked, which means the guy was also lying. We were so disgusted by the whole situation that we refused to set foot in these two hotels ever again. Even though I will probably not get a refund, I hope this comment will help others stay away from this hotel.
