My husband and myself wanted a holiday somewhere with great service food and links to places to explore. We were not disappointed the food the beautiful gardens the amazing massage in the spa. The cocktails with table service nothing was too much for the staff. I would highly recommend the train and boats the staff drop you on the shuttle bus to the train free of charge and we used it to visit Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi. Castellammare is not too great as a place to visit but there are sights you can visit not that this was a problem as the train is so easy and cheap you just jump on and go. Overall I will definitely be back and was sad to leave.

Staying at La Medusa Hotel was one of the best decisions I have ever made! This hotel is so beautiful and I can not say enough about the staff. EVERYONE was so professional and kind. One particular day I needed some advice on how to get to Rome and one of the gentlemen from the reception area brought out his laptop and we looked at all the different options. The whole staff went above and beyond to help us out. On multiple occasions, we were going to be heading out before breakfast and after letting reception know the night before, they made sure to have breakfast bags ready for us, AMAZING! Because of the GREAT food and service, we made sure to have dinner at the hotel restaurant every night. Gennaro is an amazing manager! He was so attentive and had great attention to detail. He often checked in on us, asking about our day and gave us tips and advice. Overall, such a wonderful experience, and recommend this hotel to everyone. Some may be hesitant to stay here because it is not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but we were able to make a day trip to several places without any problems. We took the train to Sorrento, a ferry to Positano, a private boat to Capri, and drove to Rome. If I had to do it again, I would not change a thing. It was very nice coming "home" to a beautiful peaceful place and eating in an amazing garden!!!!

Driving towards the hotel, trying to dind it, we saw only concrete and roads. But arriving onto the grounds was like finding a beautiful oasis in the desert. The grounds were spectacular. The staff was very professional and provided excellent service. Breakfast was elegant and varied. I only stayed one night but would have wanted to stay longer.

Nothing was too much trouble! Staff were so welcoming and made you feel at home as soon as we arrived! We were celebrating our parents Golden Wedding Anniversary so when we arrived we were really pleased with the setting, just beautiful! Stunning views of Mount Vesuvius and the bay of Naples whilst eating breakfast and also from our room! The food was delicious both round the pool, at breakfast and in the restaurant in the evenings. Out of the way from main town but no trouble getting either the shuttle or taxi to the station. Easy train to Pompeii and Sorrento.

We cannot fault this place! Arrived for a special 40th birthday holiday without our children. The hotel is stunning. Staff friendly and the food is absolutely out of this world. The room was tasteful and the bed comfy and the air con was great- we needed it as the weather was hot. The evening dinner was exquisite, served in the garden in low light, so romantic. Views of Vesuvius are fantastic. We explored the Amalfi coast from the hotel, which is achievable if you don’t mind the crazy Italian drivers! All in all, and wonderful stay :-)

Hotel is stunning, beautiful Grounds and staff exceptional (especially Antonio in reception and breakfast waiting team). On arrival greeted with fresh lemonade made on the grounds, given tour of hotel and shuttle bus arranged. We didn’t have time to use spa but looked beautiful. Centrally located in the middle of sorrento and Naples. Great for trips to Pompei and Vesuvius and for exploring cable car (entrance in main train station ), However Castellammare de Stabia As a town is a bit of a dive. We ended up travelling to and from sorrento most nights as much better for restaurants and entertainment. So much so that we paid for another hotel in sorrento on last night just to avoid all the additional travelling in trains and taxi’s. If you could lift this hotel and put it in sorrento you’d be paying thousands for the room every night! We spent £429 on an offer for 1 night in what we thought was similar hotel in sorrento and it wasn’t a patch on this hotel. Breakfast choice and view from the terrace out of this world. All silver service and nothing too much trouble. A wonderful stay x

I can’t but recommend this hotel highly enough. Absolutely lovely hotel. A period estate with all the modern amenities make for the perfect relaxing holiday. Beautiful decor throughout, gorgeous gardens for relaxing and the best spa I’ve been to. From the moment we arrived it felt just perfect. Greeted by the most friendly staff of reception, providing some great tips and also getting us in contact with a local taxi driver who we used for our travels to the local restaurant, Pompeii and to the airport. His name is Nicola. The restaurant was amazing. They made us feel special and gave us a great insight into the local foods and catered to our dietary requirements beautifully. The Maitre D was amazing but sadly forgot to ask his name. A big thank you to him from all of us. And finally the Spa team… what can I say, they were just the best ever… we all had spa treatments, some with multiple but it was worth it, From Iryna on reception the most welcoming and friendly smile ever to the very impressive and friendly therapy team of Giovanna, Maria and Patrizia. Thank you La Medusa and hopefully see you soon. We have recommended to family and friends already ❤️
