Hotel Boutique Bovedas de Santa Clara by Accor

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in a quieter section of the Walled City and you get access to all the amenities at the Sofitel Santa Clara. Everyone was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, professional and personable.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Boutique Bovedas de Santa Clara. The hotel is very cozy, beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere makes you feel relaxed from the moment you arrive. The staff provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Everyone was very attentive and friendly, and they even helped us arrange laundry service, which made our trip much more comfortable and convenient. The included breakfast was spectacular, with a wide variety of delicious food options every morning. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Our room also had a beautiful ocean view, which made the experience even more special. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cartagena.

Arrived to our “ocean view” room and it was not. No balcony no windows. Credit to the guy at the front desk I. I complained and he switched us 20 minutes. Place was quiet for sleeping and AC worked great. The best perk of this hotel is you get to use all the amenities at the Santa Clara which is absolutely beautiful. If we ever come back we will stay here again

This hotel is an annex to the Santa Clara hotel. The room was very nicely decorated with very confortable beds and we had a great view of the old city and ocean behind the city walls. We appreciated being able to use the pool at the Santa Clara as well as the included breakfast which is a dream. There are plenty of options for food and it was delicious, service is superb. We highly recommend.

Overall, our stay at Hotel Bóvedas was a pleasant one. The staff was truly excellent—very friendly, attentive, and easy to communicate with, especially via WhatsApp, which made everything more convenient and seamless during our stay. The room itself was comfortable, though it could benefit from some renovation and updates. We also experienced a few minor inconveniences, such as having only one remote control for two TVs, which required us to call for an additional one. Additionally, the in-room phones were not functioning properly. One concern worth mentioning is that the hallway leading to the room had missing bars on the security railing, which felt unsafe—especially while traveling with a toddler. Despite these issues, the overall experience was good thanks to the outstanding service from the staff. With a few improvements to the facilities and maintenance, this hotel could easily offer an even better stay.

Nice rooms, nice staff, good location just need a little bit more cleaning!

Very disappointing experience — especially compared to our stay in December. Upon arrival, we were told our reserved room was only available for three nights and that we would need to move for one. We declined. We were then offered a much smaller, dated room instead. After two hours of discussion, we were finally given the exact room category we had originally booked — and stayed in previously. No apology, no accountability. Staff repeatedly insisted the duplex we reserved was smaller than the duplex with a view. ******* screenshot description clearly shows otherwise — it is actually slightly larger. The ******* agent did not resolve the issue; we did, by providing screenshots and prior booking details and photos. Basic standards were also lacking: non-working TV remote, no hairdryer (and the replacement didn’t work), and a non-functioning phone. By the time we were settled, the pool was closed for a private event — first day wasted. If not for the larger room layouts compared to the Sofitel building, we would not return. Despite being positioned as a sister property, this feels more like an annex. All positives — pool, food, staff — belong to Sofitel. In short: not acknowledged as returning guests and treated as though booking details were negotiable. Very disappointing.

The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the staff courteous and helpful, the location convenient, and most of all access to the Sofitel Hotel amenities and included breakfast the wow factor for this location. Highly recommend.

Room was spacious, clean and very well appointed. Beds were comfortable and the supplied toiletries were amazing. Employees are the example of how hospitality staff should be. Loved our stay. Thank you!
