Cape Diem Lodge

The hotel is like a beautiful, small but cosy, mansion. Every little detail is well chosen and interesting here. Good choise of breakfast -some choices of eggs with bacon and fruits. It is appx 15 minutes on foot to the V&A. The area is safe and green.

Lovely small boutique hotel. Room was modern, staff very attentive. Nice sitting area with brandy available as a perk. Breakfast was tasty, less elaborate than some but was cooked to order and plenty adequate for a hearty meal. Overally we loved the place and the time of year we were there last minute was a bargain. You won't be sorry

We recently stayed for five nights at Cape Diem. Absolutely beautiful and beautifully restored old Victorian with an easy walk to the V&A waterfront. Lovely decor, comfy beds and wonderful breakfast. The staff was all terrific and very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Capetown!

We stayed in one of the garden rooms right next to the pool and our room was fab. Every possible amenity had been thought of and there was a lot of attention to detail throughout our entire stay. The linens are pristine white and the bathroom was super spacious. We were greeted warmly by Miranda and in fact all the staff were superb and went the extra mile. The pool area is peaceful & nicely landscaped & staged. The breakfasts consist of a buffet plus hot options too. Cooked to order. Honestly bar and room beverage / snack options were very reasonably priced. This was a glorious start to our South African adventure and with a 20 minute walk to the V&A waterfront, a Woolworths around the corner and restaurants / bars close by we felt safe. Ubers for further afield were brilliant value.

Everything about the Cape Diem Lodge was exceptional! We had such a wonderful stay there. Bianca, Daniel, and Samuel, along with the rest of the staff, were incredible. They were so kind and helpful, and gave us wonderful tips for where to eat, things to see, and fun, more local spots to visit. And all their suggestions were awesome and spot on! The property itself is perfect. Beautifully designed and styled, and incredibly clean and comfortable as well. We had the large room in the front, I believe room 5, and it was super spacious and the light that came in was awesome. The bed was so comfortable, and we had three amazing nights sleep there. Also, the shower was wonderful and hot throughout, and we had all of the amenities and creature comforts we could need. Plus, the breakfast were always great, and everyone was so lovely, making sure we always had whatever we needed. There is car parking available, and the location is fantastic. It’s a short block to a bunch of restaurants, and the V&A waterfront is also in walking distance. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Cape Town, and want a beautiful, chic, comfortable, and convenience place to stay where everything is top-notch! We loved it! Absolutely wonderful place to stay in Cape Town!

Such a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious. All the people were so friendly and helpful. We will be back

Wonderful clean comfortable lodge with excellent service in a fantastic location within walking distance to the V & A Waterfront and many restaurants. We had the room with a private balcony . The staff took care of us as though we were family. Only issue is the birds in the morning we loud. I mean loud. When we closed the windows all was fine. Also could use more chairs and loungers around the pool . Otherwise well worth staying in these very private immaculate updated historic home.

We stayed at this lovely hotel for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely courteous and the value for money was very satisfactory. We highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Cape Diem Lodge in Cape Town. The property is stylish and beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens that create such a calm, relaxing atmosphere. It feels like a peaceful retreat while still being close to everything. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, always going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable. We felt genuinely well looked after throughout our stay and can’t wait to go back.
