Emporio Cancun - Buy All Inclusive Option

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The check-in and check-out process was extremely disorganized. The lobby is far too small for the number of guests, so it was always crowded, chaotic, and involved long lines. It made both arrival and departure unnecessarily stressful. One thing that should be made much clearer is that the long swimming pool next to the beach is adults only. We booked this hotel largely because of the swimming pools shown in the photos, but my child wasn’t allowed to use the main beachfront pool. This was a huge disappointment, and for us it completely defeated the purpose of choosing this hotel. The room itself was even worse. It was incredibly humid, and there was a large amount of mold behind the blackout curtains. Every single time we opened the room door, we were hit by a strong musty smell. On top of that, the pillow had a strong urine-like odor, which made it extremely uncomfortable to sleep. Staying in the room was honestly unbearable. The room was similar to the photos, but clearly old, which we could have accepted. If it hadn’t been humid and smelled bad, I probably wouldn’t have even left this review. The floor was tiled, and even after wiping it, it still felt damp. In fact, the only way it would dry was if we left the balcony door open. It was so strange that I started reading other reviews, and it seems like quite a few rooms have similar issues—there were many people who felt the same way as we did. Of course, there may be good rooms as well… and honestly, if our room had not had mold, humidity, smell, or that damp feeling, we would have been satisfied for this price. I’ve stayed in similarly aged hotels like NYX and others before, and they didn’t have these kinds of issues. After just one night, we checked out and moved to another hotel. When we unpacked our luggage there, we realized the smell from the Emporio room had soaked into our clothes and belongings. We ended up sending all of our clothes out for laundry because the odor was so bad. It was exhausting and completely ruined part of our vacation. This was, without question, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I would honestly choose a hostel over staying here again. The experience was so unpleasant that I now feel anxious every time I check into a hotel, worried that I’ll walk into another room with the same damp, moldy smell. It has genuinely left me with a lasting negative impression and a bit of a trauma whenever I travel. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good excellent service though I have nit taken all inclusive package. I had choice to go ala Carta. Staff where quite good.

Great resort has everything you need. Have a museum nearby and there’s restaurant that serves good Healthy Food across the street

Food is great but expensive, room service is poor in terms of cleaning the room and replacing toiletries. What I paid for is not what I got.

Very comfortable stay, easy access to very nice beach. Had a room with awesome view.

The hotel is a bit old with a odour inside the room. The staff is not helpful. When I requested a water boiler, all the staff didn't understand what is a water boiler. I tried to call the reception again to clarify, they simply ignored my call until the 6th call. This is definitely not acceptable. However, the ocean view is excellent and the beach is very clean.
